I would love to see a big open Gulch like map. But it needs to be a bit more complicated. Maybe “S” shaped so you aren’t simply sniping from one base to the other (a bit like how Sidewinder aged better with it’s “V” shape).

From H5, which should work well with Infinite’s mechanics, I’d like to see Colliseum, Torque, Mercy/Haven, Rig, and Fathom.
From Reach; Countdown.
From H3; Narrows, Guardian, Ghost Town, and The Pit.
Completely agree with the Halo 2 BTB maps. Containment is such a huge map, I think it’d work great with the increased player count. In addition, some other old maps that I’d like to see: Sidewinder/Avalanche, Sandtrap (again, the increased player count would work really well with how big this map is), Valhalla/Ragnarok, Longbow, Relic/Remnant, Highlands, and Timberland/Ridgeline just to name the more BTB oriented ones, since BTB is my primary playlist. Plenty of good smaller maps too for the 4v4 playlists that’d be great to see again.
I already tried to write a post but It just ended up being 10-15 maps each for 4v4 and BTB which is just too much. If I was being obvious I think bang for your buck The Pit for 4v4 and Headlong for BTB are the cream of the crop.
If I was to choose a map that hasn’t been remade it would be either Narrows or Countdown for 4v4 and a toss up between Waterworks, Terminal, Rats nest, Highground, Sandtrap and Boneyard for BTB.
Lastly If I was to choose a map to be remade or (mainly) re- envisioned that was flawed or deserved a second chance I think either Swordbase, Powerhouse or Boardwalk for 4v4 and either Burial mounds, Ghost town, Longshore or an actual Paradiso for BTB.
that map is coming forsure, dont know if it’s more like Gulch and Coag, or more like the Anniversary version with the middle rocket base. I would def like to know
This is all just suggestions and hopefully 343 can see our favorites, the more the marrier since 343 has plans to extend this game for around 10 years, im sure it will offer many more maps than the typical 23 or 24 maps per game. This game has potential to be huge, we just need different scenery to have battles on so we dont get bored and want to play other games instead. idk if anyone has talked about gametypes, but big team extraction was an awesome gametype which forced battles in unique spots.
This is a list I’d hope to see slowly be filled out over the next several years. It goes without saying that Halo 2 & 3 are the highlight of map quality and it falls off from there. Of course there are still good original maps in the later games but they are few and far between.
Infinite is a vast improvement in terms of 343s map creation quality. Well done, 343 devs.
