If 343 is listening to their gamers requests for old maps, then let’s hear which ones you liked most.
I liked Shatter, Daybreak, Exile, Complex, Harvest, Outcast, and Monolith from Halo 4.
It would be nice to see how some of the massive Halo 2 maps play in Infinite like Headlong, Waterworks, Burial Mounds, Relic, Colossus, Containment, District, Desolation, Terminal, and Uplift.
I really enjoyed playing on most of those maps, and I am a huge big team battle player, which old maps are your favorite?
Didn’t play enough H4 to have a strong opinion on most of its maps (I didn’t like the gameplay), but the main Forerunner map that showed up all the time in matchmaking was decently designed so I wouldn’t mind seeing it back.
I’d really like for Guardian to come back from H3- clearly not for BTB but I think that’d be a fun map with Infinite’s sandbox.
Blood Gulch and Valhalla are obviously series staples too, but I don’t truthfully know if they’d be great with Infinite owing to the differences in this game’s vehicle sandbox and how ridiculous a lot of the marksman rifles are in this game over so many long lines of sight being on those maps. Both of those maps would need to be reworked substantially IMO. Boneyard from Reach actually seems like it might be a nice fit for Infinite’s sandbox with only minimal tweaking…
Think it’s kinda hinted guargian, gulch & pit coming, most likely through forge.
Also Frigat (avalanche remake)
Doubt we’d see H4 maps, but H2/3 for sure.
Construct would probably work with new mechanics as it is, just change asthetic to banished
Ooo, yes boneyard and many of Reach’s btb maps are great for Infinite, and I agree with you on needing the necessary resizing to these maps based on the faster movement options and vehicles.

Yesss, Rats Nest battles were epic middle map. Also like Harvest.
There we go, Haven was a great arena map. I loved playing extraction on it.
Guardian, The Pit, Rats Nest, High Ground, Narrows, and Construct.
Yes.
All epic H3 maps, c’mon guys we need more posts. We talking up the possibilities of more maps
Ghost town from halo 3
Or better all the mcc maps
A slightly reworked Boarding Action could be insanely fun with Infinite’s equipment (especially the grappleshot)!
Timberland would also be really cool. I’d love to see another “10 years later” take on that map.
It’s just small epic maps like midship we’re small enough to make the slower gameplay of the previous halos still instense. We have to keep in consideration this new Infinite has faster paced gameplay, so a map too small could not be balanced out. Resizing could be a option though.
Yes I was also imagining Reach’s Sword Base
I just looked up Timberland, it’s basically a halo paintball field!!!, I like more ups and downs also mixed with some open field, more like the new Deadlock, battles get sweaty. I know there’s a Halo Reach map that’s woody like Timberland, but with higher hills and more midbases, forgot the name it got hectic tho and every move was planned and people were around every corner. But that intensity that your behind enemy lines and there could be any multiples heading around the hill
I have been thinking of ways to make a spiritual successor to Boarding Action, and actually have it play fairly well.
The design that keeps coming to mind features a partially destroyed station at the top of a space elevator. The station has 3 levels and is donut shaped. To limit the sight lines there is a bunch of debris floating around in the middle of the donut, and the whole thing is slowly rotating about it’s central axis, such that the cover is dynamic.
