How much of the concept art we’ve seen do you think will actually make into Halo 4?

Or so you think. Just to inform you guys the armour on the cover of Halo 4 box art that Chief is wearing isn’t the armour he will be using in Halo 4. There are multiple concepts and 343(in relevance to the topic) are being secretive about it all and the stuff that they have released are still in their beta stages.

While I agree that all of what we were shown represents things that will definitely be seen in the final game, I feel that i should point out that we have been intentionally shown concept art that didn’t make the final game, Reach and Halo Wars come to mind.

Well, any concept art that’s been officially released is likely final or close to finalized. At this point in development (which is actually, the pre-alpha stage), 343 is likely grey-boxing levels and getting the basic setup working in-engine.
So, some of the visuals will change, but the content is unlikely to do so.

Actually, it was states when they showed the trailer that a lot of the concept art they showed was outdated and no longer being used, so we shouldn’t assume that the trailer is representative of the final game content.

They’re better than Reach’s and Reach was pretty damn impressive itself in the graphics department.

When did they say that? I remember hearing that the Chief’s look had changed since the E3 trailer, but nothing like what you have claimed.

It was during the conference, I can’t give you the exact time though. The reason I remember though is because I saw the book art for Primordium and found myself thinking “It’s a good thing they mentioned that a lot of this concept art isn’t being used anymore, cause that cover is something I don’t want to see in the game…”.
In plus, would they really use a piece of concept art from a game that’s still going to be used as a cover for a book? That’d be kind of silly…

No problem! Although I would love to see most of that concept art be a reality in the game, since it’s some really great work.
If all those art pitures we have seen in the trailer are in the game, then Halo 4 is bound to be huge
