Which matchmaking aspect(s) would you bring back?

Being able to see player’s characters (from reach), and Invasion.

That would be one of the things, other than that maybe the veto/voting system. It would definitely make some maps rarer but its just a process of majority of the community showing that which style of maps they prefer over other which in turn could help out in future map development.
Also, there could be map based search as a new addition to give a possibility to find a match in rarer maps.

Yeah, the veto system in H3 was adequate. If you didn’t want to play on that map, chances are the next one would be good enough.
I would want an updated lobby system where it shows everyone’s names for you to scroll through.
Just all-around more options. I don’t think H5 launched with a lot of matchmaking settings and playlists. Granted, I did play a lot of Warzone anyway, but I don’t think the playlists did a very good job of showing the fun game types.

I could add a little thing. Population counter for the different gamemodes. Its usefull when I either want to quickly find a match or just dont want to waste my time waiting to see if there are enough people on a certain mode and move up to the next one.

“What, there’s no Covenant here? Maybe nobody’s home…”

Seeing players characters definitely. Invasion I’m indifferent on. I’d rather they but more of a focus on firefight and include playable Elites there.

I’ve always hated the voting system. It leads to the same crap over and over and over again. I definitely don’t want it back. I like the current system or veto.

I’m all for a population counter on playlists and overall, but I know people will use it to bash the game if it doesn’t do well.

I personally want more of a Reach style pre game lobby. I like seeing how people look, different color & armour combinations, medals they’ve gotten and stats! I also want my post game stats to be detailed. I think what we have now isn’t bad (afar Improvement of what it was when Halo 5 first launched that’s for sure…) But I would mind seeing alittle bit more.

I also to be able to mute individual people pre game lobby (the fact we can’t now is laughable) and I’m starting to think there should be a setting that let’s you search for people with mics too.

The ability to see severs, what one your currently connected too and pick what sever you want to connect too would also be nice. I know the MCC has done a little bit of this and I quite like it.

The UI in Halo 5 is brutal, one of the worst. Halo 6 needs to have a great UI.

Voting system definitely leads to same maps being more likely to be chosen by the majority of the players themselves so I dont see a problem in that given I did put a suggestion as to how rarer maps could still have a chance to be playable.
Though veto system is definitely better.
This random map thing though is the worst, it just forces players to play the same feces maps (more appropriate here since the consumers dont even get a choice) over and over again with no chance of silent majority decoding what is a good map design. Now the only customer feedback is the few forums and such that we have, and that consists just a fraction of the playerbase.

As to people bashing a game based on population, it happens in any case with all the games with varying volume. Its just more common with new games because old games were bashed when they were new.
And hiding population counters could easily aswell lead to wild assumptions and bash that no one really can counter, I simply prefer being honest/truthfull and not hiding a usefull feature just because it contains facts, in either good, bad or neutral.

As to Halo Reach style pre-game lobby with more information, it would be great, with the ability to mute and view players we could have a chance to cut the unnecessary noices and we could get some form of picture as to what we are going up against or co-operate with.

More detailed/sectioned information as to where xp and possible in-game currency would be fine but it could also make learning farming easier. Not really against it though. Because modern games usually have artificial grinding to go with their microtransaction systems.
