I know that 343 could back to the classic art style in halo 6 so i’m wonder of which aspect would have the master chief armor in halo 6, they maybe stick more to the people’s favorite so which one is your favorite?, the mark VI of Halo 3 or the mark VI of Halo 4?, i personally prefer more the halo 4 mark VI armor i think it has a better design, yeah the mark VI of Halo 2 anniversary looks good too but i think that the halo 4 mark VI armor looks more futuristic.
As much as a love the older Halo games. The halo 3 armor always looked kinda weird and out of proportion to me. The Halo 4 armor looks much better, but also combines some aspects of spartan 4 armor, like removing the belt piece, which I don’t like. I think the H2A armor is probably the nicest looking. Still looks generally the same. but just better proportioned and cleaner.
I actually enjoy how the Mark VI GEN2 looks on its own. It’s the ugly variants with all those white decals in H5 that kinda kill it.
Personally I’m more a fan of Chief’s look in Halo 4 and 5, though I call major BS on the reasoning behind the changed appearance in the lore.

Chief was definitely due for some new armor. But I think they should’ve waited until H5 to change it. It would’ve made more sense then

Id like to clarify that if we’re talking about The Mark VI in the campaign, then I like Halo 3 styles better. But if you’re comparing Mark VI Gen 2 to the old Mark VI then Id much prefer the Gen 2 version.

Yes it’s true they should’ve waited until Halo 5 but if they would had changed the armor in the middle of Halo 4 when the Master chief arrives in the infinity giving it a canonical sense of the change of armor the cinematic would have been amazing, of course without showing the master chiefs face. Something like “chief i think it’s time to change your armor it’s a little damaged” it would have been enough to justify the change.
