Which is the better game?

Halo Reach

Halo 3…

Halo Wars and Halo 3:ODST

I think I messed up on the poll but whatever. I just wanted to know what the community thinks is better.

I wouldn’t put one over the other.

TimeSplitters trilogy.

Halo Reach. Very disappointing game, but I played it for a good year and a half. Bungie experimented and failed, sadly. 343 just crashed and burned.

Best IMO
Halo 2
Halo 3
Halo CE
Halo Reach

Halo 4

Halo 2-3 > Halo Reach > Halo 4

Halo 3
Halo 4
Halo 2
Halo Reach
Halo: CE
Halo 3: ODST

Reach was good in my opinion. But why does everyone think that Halo 4 is worse than Reach? Is it because you don’t like change?

Just between these 2, I’d have to say Halo 4. Though its still the second worst Halo out of all of them.

Well, they both are pretty terrible, but if I had to choose, definitely Reach. Although it had armor lock, at least you couldn’t spawn with a minishotgun, stickies, minisniper and perk that removes the jerk one receives from being shot. At least it was mostly fair and balanced . . . and fun.

Not because we dont like change, but because that change moved it so far away from what the core halo experience used to be about it is not even recognizable.

May have not liked reach all that much but i could play more then 1 game of slayer w/o turning off my xbox.

Halo reach over this mess, sad im actually saying i prefer reach as a game over halo 4 never thought i would say that.

Best to worst:

Halo 3: ODST
Halo Wars
Halo CE
Halo 4
Halo: Reach
Halo 3
Halo 2

Halo 4 is awesome. Way better than Reach. But the best for me was Halo 2. Amazing Campaing (except ending) and multiplayer.

TF2!

Oh we’re being serious.

Halo 3
Halo 4
Halo: Wars
Halo 2 PC

Reach…That awful awful blur :frowning:

Reach vs Halo 4 is the only one that I can’t easily decide. Reach had better maps, less customisation (good thing) and weapon respawns on the maps - but it also had incredibly overpowered jet pack and armor lock, and the bloom was the destroyer of skill gaps at the higher levels.

I think given the persistent existence of Infinity Slayer and 343’s reluctance to limit options (e.g. no boltshot, jet pack) that Reach probably comes out on top. At least Reach had playlists where they turned off AAs to make them play better. It had great playlists later down the line (Anniversary, MLG, ZB Slayer) but they took a long time to come out, so I won’t hold that against Halo 4.

Both games have so many cons, it’s hard to decide which is worse. I find myself hopping onto Reach more at the moment than 4, though that’s partly because the playlists have had time to get balanced and improved to the point that they’re mostly good experiences, and Halo 4 hasn’t had the chance to do that yet.

Competitive multiplayer was awful and boring. Halo Wars was also amazing. Too bad halo wars 2 is only coming in late 2014/2015. The multiplayer is almost a desert. For me, Halo 4 and 3 has the bets multiplayer and campaing.

Maybe it’s just me, but I never understood how Armor Lock was overpowered. The guy would sit there with his shields drained, and I’d just shoot him when it wore out, or nade him if he tried to run.

Reach had vastly superior maps, a significantly larger sandbox, and better weapon balance.

If Infinity Slayer wasn’t practically the only gamemode available, I’d be more inclined choose Halo 4. Infinity Slayer is dreadful.

H4 is slightly better than Reach IMO.

I despise reach. Because that is the game that started all of the unnecessary changes to the freakin game. Granted H4 didn’t have to follow suit with the changes. But they did and look at where halo is now.
