Well I am making a map on Timberland and in the description, I have mentioned that the map is based on Installation 04, although, I am not 100% sure if it is.
Can someone clarify for me what Installation that Timberland is on?
Tradition would say 04, but 03 or another it still could be.
My heart says 04.
In my Opinion its Installation 03
I think it’s 05. The gas giant is blue like Substance.
Three different Installations, I think I will just say it was on one of them to save the troubles.

It’s not installation 03. Installation 03 does not have an Earth-like environment.
I would guess it’s Installation 04 simply because it was released along side Halo Anniversary. I believe this was also mentioned in an old Halo Bulletin, but don’t quote me on that.

It’s not Installation 03. Installation 03 doesn’t have an earth-like environment like Ridgeline.

But Installation 04 doesn’t orbit around a Blue gass giant.
Threshold is Orange.
The only other option is Installation 05.
P.S. As far as I was aware, Halopedia or Halo Nation, is editable by useres, not 343 or Bungie.
The only True knowlege we have of 03 is that the Hologram in the Citadel (halo3) Appeired to have a red surface.
All I can say is that people are assuming it has a volcanic surface.
Yet, volcanos on earth are cause by the movment of tectonic plates and super heated magma boiling up from the mantle.
How could this be happening on a Halo Ring?
I say we just leave Karen Traviss to tell us exactly what 03 looks like.

Threshold is orange…and thats where 04 is. 05 orbits Substance which is blue.

Doh my bad.
The sun changes color all day long from the surface of Earth, and looks blue through the atmosphere of Mars.
There’s no reason why Threshold couldn’t look different from varying locations on Installation 04.
Secondly, in one of the Terminals, Guilty Spark said he experimented with exposing sections of the ring to the vacuum of space.That might account for a change in atmosphere, allowing for a change in Threshold’s appearance through the ring’s atmosphere.
And that is about as geeky as I want to get with this.

but dont you think thats just over complicating things? I just want the Installations planet to be the color its supposed to be.
Also, Where is Basis? there should be Thresholds moon Basis in the sky, if it was Installation 04, Which it is not.

I wasn’t referencing Halopedia. I was referencing the Halo Encyclopedia.
In addition: while also used to house the Flood, the Halo Array were originally designed to house various specimens of life from around the Galaxy. Each ring would have a unique environment and atmosphere since not every form of like will breathe Oxygen.

We’ve known for a fact that it is on installation 04 since they talked about it in the bulletin. The firefight map has the same blue threshold. It’s not the first time Threshold has appeared blue. Chalk it up to atmosphere and positioning of the ring. I mean threshold is almost completely blue on the Anniversary version of The Silent Cartographer.
its not instalation 03 because 03 is a volcanic surface with a desert atmostphere so i think it could be 04 or 04 as we know 04 has an earth like surface but 05 has a jungle like surface so it could be either one
04 or 05
-.- back in Halo CE Custom Edition, you know, the time when this map was released. The only ring we knew about was 04 in detail. So that’s what the original map is based off of. I’d say it’s safe to say the remake goes along with that.
