Im pretty new to MCC and im wondering which season is worth spending points on
Season 2 is completely CE focused, and everything afterwards is more or less H3 plus small additions to other games. If you are a fan of H3 Elites S7 offers new Elite pieces, and sword skins. If you want some ODST characters I believe Season 3 is the place to start. In the end it depends on what cosmetics you think you would enjoy first.

It’s entirely your choice. It’s all cosmetic anyway. You should know, though, that a single season can take you weeks to complete, due to progression being tied to weekly challenges. In total, I think it awards you 10 Seasonal Points per week if you complete them all. I wouldn’t say it’s a grindy system, it’s mostly one that just requires a bit of time, patience and dedication. Most of the weeklies aren’t exactly hard to get once you get the gist of it.

Season one is completely Reach focused, not CE.
And that is what you should focus on OP, season one. In my opinion it is the best season to date.

going down the list of non-toggled content:
- Season 1 if you play Reach most
- Season 3 if you want more ODST characters for firefight
- Season 7 if you want the Halo 4 DLC armor
I would have also mentioned Season 5 if you wanted the Restored Reach DLC armor, but unfortunately the Devs have erroneously placed it on the toggle system with Season 8 rendering it’s acquisition moot.
If you don’t care about the toggle system though, than any season is a good season to go for with the exceptions of 2 and 4, since every season carries with it a selection of cosmetics that come down to preference. best way to pick is to decide which you play most and what appeals to you’re tastes most.

It might seem overwhelming at first but if you keep up with the challenges, etc each week you will start racking up points.
It really comes down to the games you like the most. S1 for example is reach driven, some seasons have reach/H3 content, some have h3/h4, some have H3/h3 odst content, etc.
OP, just so you know, there’s no need to actually unlock any of that stuff. Believe it or not, none of it actually does anything. I’ve been playing since around June, haven’t spent any of my yellow/blue cubes, yet have no problem winning games. My advice to you is to ignore it all and just look for games in whatever playlists you happen to enjoy.
Depends on what game you like, for example, if you like and play a lot of halo CE then season 2 is for you, you play a lot of Halo Reach then season 1, etc just scroll through the content of each season and choose the one with the stuff you like and commit to that.

DN, just so you know, there’s no need to actually tell other players that armor is useless. Believe it or not, everyone here already knows this. I’ve been playing since around November 2014, and haven’t met anyone who would believe otherwise yet have no problem enjoying customizing their Spartans. My advice to you is to ignore it all and just look for threads in whatever topic you happen to enjoy.

If you actually read the OP’s post you’ll see that they obviously do not know this - they wouldn’t have asked which season to start on had they known that all of it is equally useless. Off-topic, but in a reply to what you said there is no customization in this game, no matter what you do your in-game character will perform exactly the same as the others. Your success depends entirely upon your own skill and if playing on a team, your teammates’ skill as well.
Nah dude I think you might just be suffering from rapid OCD or something about a specific subject in this game.
Are there other games you play? Or do you just play Halo with default armor, get mad when you unlock non-default armor, and then come here to complain about it?

My English comprehension is just fine thanks. I don’t bother unlocking any of it as it’s simply a waste of time and I was letting the OP know there’s no need to waste his either - the game is exactly the same without any of it.

I say pick whatever season you want OP. I am hopeful that 343i revisit MCC and how we acquire Season Points.
As the item list has grown, the rate that we earn points has not increased, leading to a pretty shocking realization if you break down the math on how to unlock everything from a fresh start.

dude you get a big amount of sp. infact s6 was the first season i was able to finish the bp before and have some more sp.you get 12 sp per week( if you want to get it) and more from the seasonal challenges.
If you play like 3-6 hrs a week you can easily get 11 sp(per week) even 12 if you want to play ranked.
The only thing is you dont get by leveling up after 100 levels. so even if someone started playing now, he can easily complete till s3 with no problem at all.
I’d say that the rate at which you earn points is fine. they just need to add the sp for leveling up after 100 levels and give the compensation to those who are beyond that
No need to worry about what the above poster said. Nothing you unlock from any of the seasons will do anything for you. You can ignore all of that and not suffer from any disadvantage at all! Just log on and search in whatever playlists you enjoy.

Just because the cosemetics don’t have any effect in game or in gameplay does not mean someone cannot ask about unlocks.
Should everyone not care since they don’t effect gameplay? That’s not your decision to make.

It’s of course fine that he asked about how best to spend his season points(I assume those are the yellow and blue cubes). It must seem intimidating just starting this game knowing others have been playing for years and would seemingly have an advantage having potentially unlocked a lot of it already.
That’s why I let him know that there’s no need to worry about any of it and none of it has any value or worth of any kind. Someone that wastes their time unlocking all 8 seasons’ worth of items will be on the exact same footing as I am in any game being on season “0”. Should I have lied to the OP and claimed that one season is better than the others when all they do is provide different varieties of nothing?
