I was thinking about halo 3,halo 3 odst,halo 2 and i was wonder which halo game has the best music and why?

Very difficult, I love the classic Halo CE music style as it fits that games ‘exploration of the unknown’ sort of vibe. Equally, Halo 2’s music taking a more rock orientated approach gave me the impression of ‘epic battles’ whilst Halo 3’s return to a similar style to Halo CE with added piano pieces helped add to the desperation.

I don’t think I can choose any particular one because I think Marty O’Donnell did a fantastic job capturing the feel of the games, at least in my interpretation of it.

This is tough but I really liked Halo 3’s all around music. ODST had really good mood setting music too.

That is a hard decision and the best soundtracks are in games where o’donnell has been involved and the original trilogy being more core Halo like. I would possibly slightly lean towards writing Halo 2.
Though the most important bit has been that the soundtracks fitted the game that they were part of and that was executed pretty much perfectly.

Definitely Halo 2 and Halo 2 Anniversary for me. Though, no Halo games has done music bad which says a lot about how great the series is.

I can’t say which one. I’m heavily mixed whether CE, 2, 3 or ODST (including the Anniversaries for CE & 2) should take no. 1 spot. Halo 2 is the closest topping my list as the majority of songs in my Spotify playlist are from Halo 2 and 2 Anniversary but I can’t land to a conclusion.

I’m personally attached to the Halo CE and Halo ODST soundtracks. Those are my top 2

I am listening to the Halo 2 soundtrack rn and I must say, I’ve never heard (or felt) anything so emotional. Maybe that’s just nostalgia? I don’t know, Halo 3 was pretty emotional, but nowhere near this level of beauty. H2 just puts tears in my eyes ;’( I like how I can instantly recognize what missions each song features in too. I can’t do this with any other Halo!

I would have to say Halo 3:ODST has the best soundtrack, sounds very relaxing.

Halo 3, Halo Combat Evolved, And Reach. In order (In my opinion) It would go a little like this: 1.Reach
2. Halo 3
3. Halo CE.
I mean, they’re all good, but there can only be one true favorite for everyone. For me that’d be Reach. You need To think about this one. They all sound great.

Every Halo OST holds up to the Halo experience.
Halo CE and 3 with epic music for exploration and camp battles.
Halo 2 with a more rock epic music for epic battles.
Halo 3 ODST with jazz for stealth mission.

Halo 4 for sure. That made my experience on the first playthrough so emotional. The music helps tell the story so well
