Which grafics do you use in campaign?

Which grafics do you use if you play the Halo CEA campaign?

Luckily 343 has made it that you can choose the grafics without pausing the game. Just pressing one button. << Its realy epic. >>

Graphics.

I love 'em both, sometimes if I wanted to go original, I’ll keep it original. I primarily love the changes, but I stick with the original because of nostalgia.

I switch a lot but I like to keep it on the Anniversary graphics. Much more easier to navigate around the maps, they’re so brightly lit when they used to be so dark!

I just found this out xD! I like to use old just for nostalig

I use the anniversary graphics because I already have the original combat evolved so I can just play that if I want to use original graphics. Though, I do like switching around when I find a pretty spot in Anniversary.

I like both of them.

Pretty much this.

CEA’s ‘classic mode’ tends to look darker and duller too for some reason, if you’re just going to play it in the old mode all the time you’re better off just playing the original halo.

Yes true, however, it nullifies the reason to not have a flashlight. I’ve played the Ann. version w/o using a flashlight. I like the original more because it feels like entering an empty shell and it also amplifies some horror elements in some of the levels (e.g. The Library and 343 Guilty Spark).

I kind ok like both but I like going back to the old mode.

Depends

Normally I have the CEA graphics on

When I try to find my way Also the CEA graphics

When I need precision shooting I use the CE graphics

Sometimes the CEA graphics don’t show a rock or a wall that is in the CE graphics.

I change it because off two reasons.

In missions outside I use often the CE graphics to spot enemys better; same I do so in the Truth and Reconciliation. You spot enemys better and you see which door will open for example.
But if it is night or dark in caves I use often the CEA graphic, just because everyting has more light. Exept if I use the Sniper, then I often use the good old nightscope. (Changing the graphic takes a bit - but that is good like it is - or you would change it 20 times in a second. That would be sucky, too.)
Also you spot total different things in each graphic:
CE: the plasma weapons glow more; the shields of the sentinels are better to see; less snow fall in the winter levels … and so on.
CEA: more lights show you the way; dark areas are seeable without a flashlight/nightscope; more epic looking places can give you a moral boost … and so on.
If you compare the hits of a plasma weapon on a wall you will see a bit what I mean: CEA: heat and melted stuff in the spot// CE: spare plasma around the spot.

The other reason is if I look on an intressting landscape or sky. I switch the graphics and can enjoy it better. Sometimes it is realy astounding how well the details fit in both graphics.
For example: Some planets are on exactly the same spot. Imagine it how bad it would be if 343 Industries just changed some major things in the sky! But they didn’t.

Halo CEA is some kind of a prototype for a 4D-FPS shooter. X)
Thanks to the great ability to switch graphics during a running game.

Good job 343 Industries with the button that can change the graphic during a running game without pausing it!

… no, I mean seriously: Good Job!

=P

I usually keep the Anniversary Graphics. If I’m feeling frisky then I’ll switch to the Original because things are darker and look better in certain levels.

I play with the anniversary graphics most of the time, but I frequently switch back and forth to examine the differences.

Both but prefer anniversary.

I think Anniversary Graphics do a great job reimagining the game, and usually stick with that.
But I do love switching around to see the change/evolution in graphics style.

depends how i’m feeling

Both

New: T&R (indoor), Silent Cartographer (indoor), AotCR/Two Betrayals (indoor), The Library, The Maw
Old: Silent Cartographer (outdoor), AotCR/Two Betrayals (outdoor), 343 Guilty Spark (indoor), Keyes
Both: PoA, Halo, T&R (outdoor), 343 Guilty Spark (outdoor)

T&R (outdoor) - night vision is practically worthless in the newer graphics not to mention the addition of bushes impede sniping. But it’s a nice change, grav lift area looks cool.
T&R (indoor) - new graphics without a doubt. While it’s annoying having to deal with the inaccurate graphic layer, the tactical change is interesting (it used to be possible to peek under the doors) and the ship feels more lively
SC (outdoor) - old skool is how this is meant to be played
SC (inside) - love the lighting improvements!
AotCR/Two Betrayals (outdoor) - looks less muddy, I can find dropped weapons with ease, bridge jump isn’t impeded
AotCR/Two Betrayals (indoor) - new graphics without a doubt. Reduces perception of repetitive rooms
343 Guilty Spark (outdoor) - while I like the original fog, the lighting is pretty cool
343 Guilty Spark (indoor) - I miss the Grunt splatter
The Library - 343 did a swell job with indoor environments
Keyes - it was good the way it was
The Maw - what an epic finish

Anniversary exclusively.

I didn’t spend 40 bucks just to have the exact same visual experience that I’ve already had for the last eleven years. I’m too familiar with the old style to really need to switch back to it at all.

I only use the swap feature to compare.
