CoD because it’s CoD. Everyone apparently hated Advanced Warfare yet it’s still always in the top 3 for most played games on Xbox One, even frequently becoming number 1.
The greater competition I’d rather watch is between Halo 5 and Battlefront.

I mean, come on guys. Be realistic.
Also, despite all the criticism, Destiny continues to do quite well for itself. With its continuous stream of DLC it’s probably going to remain a big player.

Pretty much this, sad but true.
Also, Battleborn is 2016.

I want it to be Halo 5 but Battlefront seems to have an incredible amount of buzz right now.
I think CoD is finally starting to loose some steam though so I see Halo as the second place finisher.
Halo and these other FPS’ can’t really compare. Maybe COD and Battlefront.
Xbox One
I voted halo 5…not because I’m on the halo 5 forums but I truly think that this halo game will really dominate this year.
CoD will do good because it’s CoD. That’s that.
Star Wars Battlefront will do very good I think but not as good as halo.
As for Rainbow Six Siege…it looks good but honestly I don’t see much hype about it.
I don’t know a thing about battleborn
CoD or Battlefront, just because they’re cross-platform. In terms of gameplay and balance Halo 5, duh, and maybe even battlefront.
Halo 5
I would vote CoD but Activision partnered with Sony despite Xbox One pre-orders being higher than the PS4.
What I hope will: Halo 5
What actually will: CoD

Half of that DLC was intended for the original game might I add. Also Activision owns COD and Bungie, so it inadvertantly owns Destiny also. So obviously, they go for the buck bucks with DLC on Destiny while releasing the same -Yoinking- game over and over again every year with CoD. This is the best Destiny review I have found…

They only partnered with Sony since they gave actvision more money and Sony needed something to justify their lack of exclusives. Then again Halo 5 is the only major true Xbox exclusive this year
I’ve never heard of Battleborn until now, but now that I have a rough idea of what it is, I don’t think it will even compete. If it were a PC shooter it might be a different story, but its formula of gameplay (vs bots, interchangeable “heroes”, colorful atmosphere, etc) has never really had mass appeal on the xbox market. I mean, just look at the fate of Sunset Overdrive.
Rainbow Six games have always been niche titles. I don’t expect this to be a significant competitor either.
I think ultimately it’s going to come down between Black Ops 3, Battlefront, and Halo 5.

Actually Halo 5: Guardians, Gears of War: UE, Forza Motorsport 5, Rare Replay, and Rise of the Tomb Raider are all major Xbox exclusives this year.

Gears of war and rare replay are rereleases, forza is annualized, tomb raider is only timed…next year Xbox has Halo wars 2, crackdown, quantum break, sea of thieves, recore, and scalebound
I’m actually thinking Battlefront will.
Perhaps Doom next year?
Hopefully h5.
If what they are showing of battlefront is actually console gameplay and not high end PC footage, its going to be tough to beat.
It’s hard to weigh Halo’s sales numbers against other FPS games though - because it’s an exclusive for Xbox, while several others on this list are not. In that sense alone I think it’s obvious that the multi-platform games will sell more copies.
However, the thing that Halo still has over the two main games that will likely outstrip it in sales (COD and Battlefront) is a compelling and immersive campaign storyline with great characters. That’s why my $250 is all going toward ‘Halo 5’ (LCE) and nothing else coming out this year.
