Which forge map is the better of the 3

Impact: The space/facility based Forge map using the UNSC Pallet
Erosion: The cavern/sewer based Forge map using the Pipeline Pallet
Ravine: The seastack/ocean based Forge map using the Forerunner Pallet

Depends on what kind of map you want to make. An indoor map would have to be Impact because of the open space. Ravine and it’s grimy theme is good for certain maps. Ravines theme is nice, kinda like Forge World, but it’s too small and the objects being UNSC themed just doesn’t fit (yes UNSC, not Forerunner. Forerunner would mean they are gray. However, they are white, some even with UNSC written on them).

Personally, I would be more than happy if they just remade Forge World or a map iike Forge World. I was able to come up with so many ideas for maps in Forge World with it’s open space and generic objects I didn’t know what do with them. This is not the case for H4. The maps are either too small and have too much in them (Ravine’s Forerunner structure that is an eyesore and Erosion’s rocky ledges and not enough flat ground) or the theme isn’t right (kinda hard to make an open map in Impact without making it entirely out of objects and no ground which takes up a lot of the budget and amount of objects available to you. Not to mention the strain it can put on Dynamic Lighting). All in all I am disappointed with H4 forging. Yes Impact is nice for space station maps which I love, but I certainly have forger’s block (like writer’s block but for forging) when it comes to other maps.

Don’t get me wrong, I have been able to make maps. I have six in my fileshare so far and am working on others (I don’t know if they are good or not. Not a whole lot of opportunities to test them)

In my opinion, there is no best map. They all have their different uses.
