Which firefight did you want returning?

Reach-style is perfect for MM. It wouldn’t have Loadouts, since those aren’t a thing in Infinite anyway, but they could have the “base” on Firefight maps have weapon crates similar to FoBs in Campaign.

Spawn with an AR and Sidekick, and be able to use the FoB crates in-between rounds to access other basic UNSC weapons like Commandos, BRs, and Bulldogs (As well as their custom variants, except the Sidekick variant because it’s too strong). Then put some UNSC vehicles, power weapons, and equipment on set map-based pads that reset once per Round like ODST did as opposed to the drop pod system from Reach.

Non-UNSC weapons and vehicles of all kinds should exclusively be collected from enemies. And enemies should be able to spawn with variants of weapons as well to get them in the mix. Some enemies, since this is the Banished, should also be able to spawn with variants of UNSC power weapons to make those available as well.

The default version of Firefight for custom games should then work like ODSTs, gong for as long as the team can survive as opposed to running a single Round or Set. Which would be the MM version.

Whatever Firefight they do. I just want it vanilla. I don’t need upgraded AR’s or Pistols.

ODST was the best version of Firefight. It actually felt difficult after several rounds / phases. Halo Reach’s firefight was too easy and you could breeze through everything.

Its kind of funny
The one good thing 343 did for reach firefight was the title update, it raised the difficulty, and had a few changed waves…
But when they moved reach to mcc, they kept the easier difficulty.
So reach firefight is now garbage on mcc, unless youre playing legendary.
Add no map or gametype veto, next to no stats, and reach firefight on mcc becomes a hollow shell of what it was

Agreed, nothing more worthless than all those varieties of weapons when halo 5 warzone firefight was vehicle dependent.
Ideally id like to see the best parts of all the firefights rolled together with new twists.
Except halo 4s firefight. I hated halo 4s firefight

I agree, except for the Black Eye Skull. That was the one skull that kills the mode. I just wouldn’t work with random players with match making.

I’d rather see a Skull in its place that works like Attrition. Where upon death you need to be revived instead of just spawning. I’d call it the Revival Skull.

As long as 343 brings firefight back to Halo Infinite, every firefight mode is welcome.
