Again, no one knows so its you guess who its going to be:
Precursors
Promotheans
Forerunners
The “mysterous” crashed ship on HCEA
Which do you think?
We know that sentinels and flood are in it obviously because they revolve around the story and Covies (of both sides loyalists and seperatists) have a chance to be a side ally and enemy and Unsc we know is our ally.
Prometheans ARE Forerunners. And they wouldn’t be the ancient enemy anyway, seeing as they’re ON THE SAME SIDE as humans. And what crashed ship on Halo CE?

Halo CE"A" didnt you play the game, its in the terminals. And Promotheans are more of the guardians of halo’s installions. You od realize you blow up a ring, stalled another, and then damaged the ark and destroyed the Installation 04 rebuild. nd you destroyed one the of monitors. They have their reasons. Forerunners in general is what im speaking of because promotheans are suggested as so BA group of forerunners as 343 talked about in HCEA. Forerunners in general if they some how disobey the whole “died as planned” speech 343 gave then they could have been hiding for the time being.

Yes but they’re still Forerunners.
And why would they be the enemy? The Halos were a last ditch effort that killed their race, so they wouldn’t go crazy because humans tried to stop a second activation.

It would mean the last ditch effort to stop the flood would fail and consume all. i think its the protheans but again Ancient so old and enemy put that together in Halo Cryptium and you got youself the Forerunners who were enemies with humans. And if they found out they were destroying the only hopes of killing the flood then they have the motive. as for promotheans. they are forerunner but a different type and described as by there strength to be enough to beat precursors. and forerunner could mean a certain type of forerunner that isnt promothean but is still forerunner. im just saying the promotheans because 343 said how he wanted to make the humans pay with them so it sounds like they could be guards to halo instations and that if awaked they could be BA enemies if you pose a threat.

Yes but didn’t the tenth terminal in CEA also say who the enemy was?
Oh but without her (the Librarian) here to temper his (the Didact) rage, why, these Reclaimers (humans) might just prefer fighting the Flood.
I would say the Forerunner in some form. Forerunners did pass on the Reclaimer status to us, but right now they wouldn’t be too happy. Like in the last terminal. Spark says that the Humans would prefer the Flood over the Didact’s rage because the Librarian isn’t around to calm him. But the Forerunners, or Prometheans, would be some really tough guys to fight. John’s armor is Class 2 on the Forerunner’s scale, most Forerunner warriors would be wearing arounnd Class 12.
But the Forerunners might be smart enough to realize that the Humans were only doing what had to be done… even though it may have been done a little less destructively.
The Flood and Sentinels would most likely be there as a side enemy like previous games… it wouldn’t seem right without the Flood breaking down the door.

Whatever it is, I just hope we fight some forerunners and that they use actual tactics. Covenant tactics are laughable, and Flood “tactics” are just rushing at you. I’d like some enemies that are human-ish in their combat tactics - they take cover, they try to surpress you while others move around to flank, etc.
Smarter enemies would be incredible for the Halo franchise.

what? seriously please idk why people say this but why would it be the Covies? its been settled with brutes scattered and elites killing them and they have no quirrel with the humans why would we be fighting them?
