Ok I got your attention now listen up Spartans. I have a simple question and please feel free to express yourselves. IF the H4 DMR worked EXACTLY like the Reach DMR would you preffer it in smaller maps over the BR? Or would you still use the H4 DMR?
Please refrain from answering with another question. Its a very simple question, Reach DMR or H4 DMR?
Halo 4’s DMR, because I treasure consistency. If it were anything even remotely like Reach’s plain old non-TU variant (or heck, maybe even the updated 85% one), I’d not even consider thinking about the possibility of wondering if I might so much as ponder picking one up while in a daydream. BR would be my #1 gun in such a case.
facepalm Now where was I…oh yes, I personally, cannot tell the difference. This deal with the DMR being Overpowered, i really could care less. I like both DMR’s b/c i like the concept of the Weapon. Period.
Reach’s DMR is like playing against a Slot machine while playing against a player. There was too many times where the game made you lose because you did what was advised you to do.
If I want a limitation, I would have to be a set rate of fire. I should be mad at myself for making a bad decision or miss in the game. I shouldn’t be mad at the game for making me lose because it said so.
Bloom on precision weapons(except the magnum)is not a good idea. If they want to balance it, its needs to be done through damage, and rate of fire. If it needs anything else, it would need to be consistant, not random. The BR’s recoil effect is a good example.
Bloom is only good for close range weaponry as it would allow them to shoot fast, but force them to decrease the rate of fire should they want to be accurate.
Interesting up till now I thought ppl liked the DMR because of the actual style and look of the gun not because it was a much better weapon(seriously). Keep it up guys/gals this can really halp 343 with the weapon tuning.
Depends. If we’re talking vanilla and TU Reach DMRs, Halo 4’s wins by far. But the ZB Reach DMR is just as good as the latter I’d say.
I’m fine with the DMR currently, and would be even more content with it if it were a pickup along with the LR, and the game had a lowering of aim assist across the board.
> The DMR does not belong in Halo 4 and is frowned upon by most of the community.
I frown upon it being good in medium ranged combat. It isn’t the DMR’s fault. It’s the inability for the weapons belonging in that range to not deal the damage in that range.
343 almost got it. But instead of making the DMR the slowest gun in close-medium range combat, they kept the other weapons relativily the same damage rate as the DMR, while adding in some form of limitation that prevents them from being good at longer distances. This makes the DMR more attractive since its only limitation is the gun’s rate of fire.
i prefer reaches dmr. the bloom actually played a part and seperated the good players from bad based on how they knew how to use it. u can just spam with H4’s, reache’s dmr had you pacing your shots to be more effective.
