I personally like the br over dmr just cause I’m a veteran halo player, I’m just wondering what everyone else prefers, an whichever please explain why
I will admit, I love both guns but my heart belongs to the Battle Rifle. It just feels right. But the DMR will be comfortably on my back ready for action.
BR. Reason why, is when i battle, unless they are far far away, i will jump, side-step, and shoot my way in for a melee. 90% of my games my ToD is my fist. Thats my strategy, take down their shields while closing in for an easy 1-punch kill. But i can see how some people would prefer the DMR, with long-range, but thats just not how i play Halo.
If we’re speaking in terms of how they perform in Halo 4, the DMR. It looked a LOT stronger than the BR according to the E3 demos.
This is, obviously, open to change however.
BR all the way.
EDIT: Of course, the BR looks to be pretty weak compared to the DMR in Halo 4.
BR. It’s almost as much of a classic as the AR, and the AR has been around since CE. I love the BR and what it offers, and the DMR just for what it offers, but I wanna get my hands back into my BR.
Neither. The BR is overrated and the DMR is terrible. My heart will always belong to the Covenant Carbine.

really? only times i saw it perform better then the BR did was when it was used long distance, in which it performed excelent. But in close range the BR seemed pretty good
My heart fell in love with that DMR the minute Bungie revealed it.
In terms of aesthetics, the Halo 4 versions of both rifles look absolutely awesome.
In terms of gameplay, that’s gonna be a tough choice. I’ll have to try out both and see what I like best. I’ll probably make myself a loadout for each one.
No one knows for sure yet which will be better in halo 4 I’m more speaking towards halo3 br compare to halo reach dmr
BR, it’s a classic, almost as classic as the AR, everytime I see a BR and I don’t have one on me, I pick it up. DMR, however, I just never felt the same nostalgia as with the BR.
DMR!
DMR feels great to use at almost all ranges while BR feels great to use at medium range.
I say DMR.
I’ve always been a single bolt action shot kind of guy. Therefore, I’ll stay with the DMR.
Battle Rifle, I expect I’ll be sniping a bit in Halo 4, and a BR is a great secondary with a sniper. It’s weak at long range, but if for some reason I miss a headshot with my sniper and take a body shot, damage isn’t going to mean much if their shields are down. Plus, it’s great if someone engages me from a little closer distance. And really, I just miss my BR.
DMR. It kills faster, can kill up to 3 people with 1 clip and has longer range. Logic says DMR wins.
Br kills faster bro 3shot kill if your skilled an didn’t ask for logic just personal opinions

The BR.
