Personally, I think 343 should redesign the makeup of the Brutes. New look, size, behaviour, everything. But if they came out and said ‘Hey you guys! No, not you. Yes, you! Which Brute model would you prefer?’ What would you say?
There’s Halo 3…
Shields
More human shaped
Not as strong
Looked different
Smaller
Then there’s Halo Reach’s…
Monsters
No shields (Except Chieftains)
Much larger then Spartans
Stronger
Look like bloody monsters
F-ing huge
There’s more factors between the two, but that’s what came off the top of my head.
So, there you go! Which would you prefer to be in Halo 4?
P.S. Wouldn’t it be cool to see them battle, to see which model really is the best on the battlefield?

i… Erm… I don’t bloody know! It sounds cool, alright!?
But yes, Halo 3 Brutes were fun to fight.
Anybody else find it so satisfying to pop the shields and take their head off? Halo Reach it was like ‘Shoot the dinner bowl off their head and shoot the big clump-of-clay lookalike head.’

it was bungies way of saying good bye, star side is the front part of a ship
> it was bungies way of saying good bye, star side is the front part of a ship
I’ve never heard the term “starside” used to refer to the front part of the ship. Are you thinking of “starboard”, which refers to the right side of a ship?
As for the Brutes, I personally don’t think there was all that much difference between the Halo 3 and Reach variants, except that Reach added some naturally unarmoured variants. I also don’t think we’ll be seeing very much of them (if anything at all) in Halo 4.
If they are going for a more “alien” feel, i would say Halo Reach brutes all the way, if they are looking for a more “human” approach, that is like for cinematics and getting across more empathy and emotion for whatever reason, Halo 3 brutes
> actually Halo 3’s did not have shields except for chieftans. the regular ones had Powerarmor, which is non-regenerating shields.

i change my thought. i want the brutes to be different looking, but i want their design to be BASED off of Halo 3’s design. they looked more fearsome and in higher authority with the fancy armor

actually your right starside must mean something else i think it could reference only in halo
I think a reason Brutes were so weak in Reach is because a major purpose for them in Halo 2-3, at least gameplay-wise, was to fill in the role of the Elites when they were betrayed by the Prophets. In Reach, you fought both species, so either one had to be turned down a notch, and they logically chose the more intelligent and superior Elites over the primitive and ruthless Brutes.
