Which book characters should appear in-game?

There are a plethora of interesting characters from the Halo novels/comics that could be great additions in-game. The Spartan-II Blue Team is already a popular choice, but there are plenty of other character choices that seem to get overlooked.

Ignatio Delgado (The Cole Protocol): His background living among the Insurrectionists on The Rubble could not only bring more information on the rebels, but it could make the fight against them personal for him, and loyalties could be tested. Of course, this is assuming the Innies even appear in-game. His assumedly Latino heritage would also simply add more diversity.

Major John Smith (Halo Evolutions: The Mona Lisa): He performed illegal experiments with the Flood aboard the prison ship Mona Lisa. He may have very well been executed for his crimes. Or ONI could have looked the other way due to the information on the Flood he may have gathered.

Lieutenant Parisa (Halo Evolutions: Palace Hotel): Parisa was a childhood friend of John’s before he was abducted. It’s implied that they were very close. Her inclusion could bring about more of John’s suppressed/forgotten memories. Whether this leads to positive or negative effects is up for debate.

Spartan-II Gray Team (Cole Protocol): A Spartan team that operates behind enemy lines. They are some of the few Spartan-IIs that MAY still be alive.

Spartan-II Black Team (Halo Evolutions: Blunt Instruments, Bloodlines): Same as Gray Team.

Chief Mendez (The Fall of Reach, Ghosts of Onyx, Glasslands): The trainer of the Spartan IIs and IIIs. An ally and friend to the Spartans. Has a “complicated” attitude toward Halsey. If he were to appear, it couldn’t be around John, as it was mentioned that they never saw each other again.

Staff Sergeant Byrne (Contact Harvest): an old friend of Johnson’s. Years of experience fighting rebels. Possibly a Spartan-I like Johnson (just my speculation).

The Iso-Didact (Cryptum, Primordium, Silentium): basically the new Didact. Ultimate fate unknown.

Chant to Green (Silentium): Assumes the title of Lifeshaper after the Librarian’s death. Chant to Green is, essentially, the new Librarian. Ultimate fate unknown.

There are probably a lot more characters, but I don’t want this post to be too long. Feel free to add to the list.

I would like a new main character that we all think is as good as the Arbiter or Johnston. Someone really epic, or someone who is a smart -Yoink- but is funny. (not sarah palmer).

Naomi-010, Kilo-Five, Malcolm Geffen, Ortega, al-Cygni, Rich, Faber, The Keymind… there’s all sorts that could make it into the game.

TBH, the character I want to see from the books is Splendid Dust. I found his character extremely interesting and hoped he would be in Primordium and Silentinum

I personally think we don’t need to add too many characters from the books, the IsoDidact and Chant are set up to have large rolls imo and then Dust would be another Forerunner character if Dust survived. Of course I’m personally not opposed to the idea of having multiple characters from the books added but then people who don’t read the books don’t really have a good idea of who the characters are, I saw someone call Jul a maniac which just isn’t true

Black Box. We’ve already got Osman, it only makes sense for him to make a cameo at some point.

You make a fair point. If characters from the books are introduced in-game, 343 needs to make sure it’s in a way that doesn’t confuse gamers.

Exactly, if they can do that then I’m completely fine with it

Also, I’d really like to see the IsoDidact return as a protagonist that will communicate to the Master Chief through telepathy. Does everyone remember the Ur-Didact taunting the Master Chief in Halo 4 through his head? That sort of thing, but it wouldn’t be taunting, it would be helping… Sort of to fill in that gap in gameplay that was left behind by Cortana’s demise.

The IsoDidact would essentially be the archetype that is known as “The Sage”.

I realize Blue Team is the popular choice, but I’d really like to know what other book characters you’d like to see.

Surely there’s someone you can think of.

Besides blue team and chief Mendez Parisa would be interesting adds his backstory even before the spartan program

Evan Phillips. You’d think that given recent engagements with the Sangheili being led by Jul 'Mdama, they’d get an expert on the species and a person who has actually met and talked to 'Mdama.

That and I want an excuse for 'Mdama to say “Phyllis”.

I think she is dead. We see in Spartan Ops that Osman has assumed the title of CINCONI. I may be wrong, but I think this implies that Parangosky died.
