Which Banshee?

For Halo Xbox One, how should the Banshee be?

Something similar to a version seen in another Halo game or a new Banshee?
This can apply to either appearance, movement, or power.

I personally want the Banshee in Halo Xbox One to be exactly as it was in ODST.

The Banshee from ODST in multiplayer would be a little overpowered, IMO.
Can hover without moving.
Can face completely downward.
No fuel rod arc.
Whatever version they go with, I hope they return the camera and tricks back to similar how they were in Halo 3.

Gameplay wise, I would like the Halo CE Banshee, it was great. Model/texture wise, I could care less, as long as it looked like a banshee, and it’s cool looking.

I would very much like it if they fixed the Banshee so it no longer looks like an overweight flying purple whale.

The Halo 3: ODST Banshee is perfect in every regard. I’d love a return to that, especially appearance-wise. The Reach and Halo 4 Banshees are absolutely disgusting looking.

I like the Reach and H4 Banshee in terms of looks.

As for gameplay and performance flips should drain the boost, the bombs should be removed, make it a little faster, and increase the armor.

I completely agree with aesthetically reach and 4 were off. but I think reach and 4 mechanic’s combined it would be right

I don’t like it how snipers and small arms fire wreck the Banshee in Reach and 4, but appearance wise I like Halo 4’s. Would look even better if they made its wings a little longer.

An exact reskin of the Halo Reach Banshee (without the Fuel Rod Lockon) would be perfect in my opinion. I liked the aesthetic design better, and I felt that it was overall more balanced. I especially liked the immense improvements that were added to the evasive maneuvers.

Reach or 4 style.

I never really liked the banshee’s look till Reach & 4. The old ‘wings’ always looked silly and fragile to me.

I’m rolling the idea in my head that the Banshee be split into two separate vehicles. One with the Plasma Cannons and the other with the Fuel Rod Cannon. The former is the dogfighter and the ability to flip and evade, the latter is the close air support with the boost.

OT: Reach Banshee (maybe with slightly thicker skin and stronger Plasma Cannons) with one very needed change: Boosting and evading needs to share the power meter.

This gives me an idea!

You’ve explained and have stated that you’d like to split the current Banshee and it’s functions into two seperate Banshees with split functions.
While the idea is interesting, I can see many complaining about not having the old Banshee.

Instead, why don’t we take a similar approach to the Halo 3 Hornets.
One overly-powerful version; great for Custom Games and Campaign.
And one weaker version that’s better suited for MP MM.

I’ve enjoyed them all in their own time!

My all time favorite in multiplayer is probably Reach’s, though the evasive maneuvers were OP, so Halo 4’s is a close second.

As for aesthetic, just make it look good and keep the size proportionate to the amount of damage it can handle.

If I had one wish, I’d like to see two versions: an infantry hunter and a vehicle killer… because I want Heavies to return so badly :smiley:

I have trouble remembering each style, the only two that stick out for me is 3 and reach.

what about the Halo2 banshee wink wink but i think it was the easiest banshee to drive but still a bit op.

I would vote for the Halo: Reach Banshee. All my unfrigginbelievables in Halo: Reach came from that one vehicle.

That’s kinda funny dude, because the Reach, Anniversary, and H4 banshees are the exact same model just with different textures/animations

Personally, for me: Make a NEW model. Get rid of the Reach Banshee, that stupid-looking thing has haunted us for 3 games now.
Gameplay wise, make it like the H3 one.

Lol we are exact opposites! I prefer Reach/4’s appearance but like Halo 3/ODST’s mechanics better.
