Whether to keep quiet or voice an obvious problem.

So i was quite torn here, as I play kinsano and if i had kept quiet my ladder climb would be far easier, but there is a clear problem with the upcoming patch

Kinsano leader powers

  • Turret drop swapped places with Heat of battleYou were 100% correct to remove Turret drop, but to replace it with “heat of battle” is a huge mistake.
    This will give kinsano complete map dominance in the early game over every other leader.

I feel you need to pay more attention to the early game presence of leaders, as most games are decided early game.
Leaders such as cutter and anders don’t have any early game abilities that help them for map dominance in JackRabbit fights

where as leaders such as kinsano have redline and now heat of battle, which will basically force cutter and anders to turtle while kinsano take expansions.

A quick word on Anders even though no one plays her and no 1 cares, because shes terrible.

The current players who played her, had to play her in the cheesiest most horrible way to make her viable: Turtle for 2.5 hours with kodiaks until the other player wants to smash himself in the head with his joystick. I can’t even recall the amount of games I’ve had vs Yoda that lasted over 3 hours, it was completely infuriating sending hordes of troops for hours on end, not being able to break the siege line.

Now my point is, if that was the only viable way to play her competively and you took that away from her and rightfully so, as it was ridiculous, well you better replace it with something significant! If she was fine early game, do you really think these players would force the game to 2.5 hrs+ ???

I’m glad you nerfed her sentinal passive from kodiaks, but please give her some early game ability to make her viable. I don’t have any intentions of playing her, but i feel all races should be viable and so far cutter and anders are lacking. Cutter use to be a top 3 leader and now hes fallen to the bottom, just above anders.

Quick note as to why cutter is struggling
Marine spam use to be strong vs covenant but with all the upgrade/buffs convenant have had recently

  • Suicide grunts buff - Brute hammer buff - Grunt BuffMarines early game just aren’t effective vs any of them and flamers are still underwhelming

Then if you look at the unsc match ups, cutter has the same problems as anders
you cant go marines as jackrabbit easily counter them and then if you go jack rabbits, you can’t as passives such as red line and heat of battle will completely dominate you.

Wow you are exactly correct. I don’t understand why in early game that all leaders don’t start the same. I rarely see someone turtle and win in this game map control is crucial.

This is EXACTLY what I’ve been trying to say in that other thread.

Basically people that didn’t wanted that nerf were right, and people that wanted the nerf were also right. Easiest way to please both of them is through your suggestion: give her some early power that’ll up her viability to compensate.

As per Kinsano, we’ll have to see how the XP adjustments work out. We don’t know yet how quick/slow people will be able to get Red Line.

Here’s the thing… Everything that has been said in this post is correct in theory. However, I think all theories should be put on hold until this patch drops on Monday.

I use Anders and I don’t turtle. I only play 3v3 anyway and she still works fine. Even if there were some early game leader powers I would still dedicate my first three points on maxing out R&B.

This is where the reduction in the rate at which leader points are earned could make this less of an issue early game as it may take longer to get the full redline bonus… hopefully. If not with the addition of heat of battle to Kinsano JR, she will still be unmatched early game and everyone and her mother will be running her and continuing to spam JR

I guess will have to wait another month.

Why don’t you play banished against YODA then? Three invincibility abilities… That alone should be able to wreck any turtle anders has. That and cloaking.
