Where's VIP, Juggernaut, Race, and Assault?

This picture, from the BTS:

They’ve got a playlist for, what seems like, every gametype in the game. I’m fairly sure if they made a playlist for King of the Hill, all the gametypes are included. So that brings up the very, very important question of…

Where in the hell is VIP, Juggernaut, and Assault?

Excuse me, 343, but I think you might have just dealt the largest blow EVER to the custom games community.

Not only did you not bring back VIP (Which I could go on about for literally an entire essay), but outright excluding Juggernaut and Assault? Do you not realize the damage you’ve done? Regicide is NOT Juggernaut! Grifball is NOT Assault! We need a diverse range of gametypes to work with, and you actively take away 2 entire game modes, 1 of which we have had literally since the beginning of the Halo series?

What. The. Hell?!

Do you not know Custom Gamers exist? Do you even know why this is such a huge blow?

As soon as this is confirmed (When the game ships, because GOD KNOWS YOU WON’T TALK ABOUT CUSTOMS), you’re going to find a full-blown BLAMstorm on your hands.

Edit: Oh and I just realized something else: RACE.

Better tell HaloTracks, one of the most active customs communities ever, to shove it as well. Can’t make Race without the base gametype OR VIP.

Unbelievable.

Just because they haven’t talked about them yet doesn’t mean they are gone.
Calm yourself.

Surely those gametypes are in there somewhere. I will be pretty mad if objective doesn’t have assault and only has that horrid new CTF variant.

I believe those were one of the most unused one, in terms of statistics. So they probably got rid of it.

Anyways they can be done in custom games fairly easy. And probably will be added later.

EditL

I notice there is no SWAT. So, Assault, VIP and Juggernaut are probably there.

How do you know those are all the playlists?

How do you know those options are gone for customs?
You don’t. That could be from an older build with playlists unfinalized.

I don’t see SWAT and grifball, but those are in too.

Completely true.
The recent interview showed the developer very excited for their new SWAT mode. They wouldn’t not have it as a playlist.

So that means there are either more options we can’t see, or this is an unfinished build (which is pretty likely).

That’s the problem. That mentality of “Oh nobody plays it, we’ll just get rid of it”.

No. People use these gametypes for custom games, and giving us even less options is just sticking a knife right in our gut. Less options means less games. To take out a classic like Juggernaut is just an affront to the series. It’s been there since Halo 1. How could they POSSIBLY take it out?!

I just want the Rumble Pit playlist. I want a bunch of game types to choose from in a FFA playlist, not just one…

I remember seeing some pictures similar to this from the PAX thing that my friend sent me…I think it’s a just a beta build…also notice there are only 10 players in Slayer so…

There is no Assault gamemode in Halo 4.

And no, I’m not trolling.

I really am not a fan of this whole one gametype per playlist deal. Playlists like KotH and Regicide are going to have horribly low and inconsistent populations because they’re so specialized.

They will be in there for sure. There are a lot that 343 hasn’t released yet.

If you notice, there’s also no slayer gametype on that list. only the new infinity slayer and the almost-MLG slayer pro. IF that was the complete list, then tens of thousands of players would quit right then or lack of regular slayer.

Plus, all of those playlists there are much too specific. I expect the real ones to be more grouped playlists like in the past. Halo has way too many gametypes to have a playlist for each one and still play good.

If you look at the right side of this picture you can see assault is a gametype option, im sure there will be more then this too. http://th03.deviantart.net/fs70/PRE/i/2012/197/e/e/unsc_display_screen_wallpaper__v2_by_echoleader-d57izpy.jpg

That’s a very old image. Flood is still called “Infection”. Can’t confirm anything.

Also, still no VIP.

If they’re not on the disc on launch I’m sure they can be added down the line at some point if the community wants them.

There was Speedflag and a few other games in Halo Reach added that weren’t launched with the game…

maybe at this point they didnt want to spoil anything… also they probably had assault there because its kinda obvious it would make a return.

The customs community hasn’t been listened to so far. What makes you think we’ll even be heard by 343 when it comes time to make new gametypes?

We BEGGED Jeremiah for VIP; A gametype that was already half done. Yet, it never happened.

Calm down. I have never heard of a company releasing to much information. Of course they have them, no one mentioned swat until bravo interviewed the lead designer. Calm down
