I mean honestly, did i skip a part in the video or they just left it out. If there are elites, then why take out their most common weapon, the plasma rifle, i dont know whats happenning at 343.
The plasma rifle was confirmed to be out a long, long time ago. The Storm Rifle is the replacement for it. I like it, it’s fun to use.
The Plasma Rifle hasn’t really been good in Multiplayer since CE. Other than dual wielding in Campaign on The Flood, it wasn’t used then either.
Bungie stated that their reason for making the Repeater in Reach was because buffing the Plasma Rifle again or making it perform differently would changei ts identity. I imagine 343 went this route as well and decided to just make a more AR-like version of it.
I like it. I will miss the PR, but the Storm Rifle looks like a good replacement.

Ohk, i must have missed that thread or bulletin then, so basically, the strom rifle is like an ‘upgrade’ of the plasma rifle?

343i should have expanded the secondary options to have SMGs, plasma rifles, spikers, maulers and Promethean crossbow??
Would of been good to have an automatic with my DMR without having to use firepower.
