where's the knife!?

hey so I noticed many assassinations using knives such as the stab in the back of the head and the tackle-stab, but where are the knives kept? in reach it was on the person of the spartan III’s in a holster on there chest but i dont see a knive holster on the spartan IV’s…could it virtualize in there hand when they need it? Does anyone know? or am I just missing something?

Same place where they keep the pistol for flag carrying… maybe?

In Ultraviolet’s hair.

lol you just made my day xD

> In Ultraviolet’s hair.

Hahaha

They download it at will. I swear.

This is why I miss the functional looking armour of Reach. I lied seeing ammo pouches, knives, tac pads etc. Made the Spartan’s seem more realistic instead of pulling ammo out of their holes.

IDEA !

It could be like a bigger knife on the their back above their bottoms which they quickly whip out of the holster (in their back) and stap other spartans

It doesn’t really bother me. Yeah, it’s a nice little feature, them looking functional, but this is a Sci-Fi game; there is an extent of realism that can be left out. Tiny nuances, and such. In fact, I kinda like the simpler, less-functional looking armor; makes em look sleeker and deadlier instead of bulky and TOO realistic (for a Halo game)

i agree, there isn’t many material things on the armor anymore, its just…armor. I mean where do they keep ammo and grenades, in reach it was in the utility, if you bought it that is, its going back to the halo 3 armor style, but i wish theyd just combined both, some with bags and sniper bullets strapped on your shoulders, AND some with just armor i liked both but i personally liked reachs more than halo 3s. just because it looked more like a soldier instead of some tin man who looked like he couldnt move.

i liked them both, i wish theyd had both types in halo 4. but oh well, maybe halo 5.

Why not make it fit the Halo Universe?

Reverse engineered Forerunner tech allowed UNSC engineers to create the “Slipspace Saber”. Only the hilt of the weapon is visible on a Spartan"s armor while the rest of the blade is stored in Slipspace. Metal blades were originally tested but found to not endure the stresses of Slipspace. An Energy Blade was the solution which also happened to be reverse engineered Forerunner technology.

Yeah I like how Reach had more functional looking armor. It looked awesome having knives and grenade belts strapped to my armor. I hope that stuff is still in and that 343 had just decided to hide it from us for now.

I actually didn’t like that. When you buy a chest piece, you just get a rearrangement of armor. A bunch of then included the same things, like the grenade belt, or the same pouches.

It’s the realism I like, not necessarily the specific configuration of things. Although having said that in reality there would only be a certain number of things worth putting on the armour anyway so it makes sense for the utilities to be variations on each other.

reminisces of the haloCE and halo2 days where people would use the term pocket rocket

They assassinate with pocket knives! jk

I really don’t see any reason why the visible combat knife couldn’t be on the H4 Spartans. Seeing it come out of thin air… makes me think that H4 is a step backwards you know?

It pops out of their leg like Robocop’s gun.

In their sock?
