A while back 343 mentioned about adding in full customization to Halo Reach Elites. Since then we haven’t heard anything about it or seen it happen what so ever. I have tried to find one of the post or update notes that mentions this except I can’t find it anywhere. The post was most likely deleted just like how they deleted a post talking about Halo Infinites player customization once.
I believe it has been over almost or over a year since that was posted. Spartans already have all these customization options and new armor. Think it’s about time 343 gives the elites a little player expression.

i’ve been asking for this ever since they gave h3 and h2a elites per piece customization. it’s about time reach’s elites get some love too

I hope we get it too but it should be noted it’s easier said than done. The way the Elite armor works is completely different than the Spartan armor as each set is one model. Why Bungie did this, who the hell knows but that’s how it is. What they probably need to do is replace the Elite armor system entirely. I’m sure they have the capability but I wouldn’t know how long something like that would take.

That’s weird why a model? it looks like you could just pluck the pieces off and mix match them XD I’m sure it’s possible he’ll they’ve already done alot with the past games
Easier since they just asset flipped Campaign Elites. Elites were never as popular as Spartans for MP, and Reach Elites only existed for Invasion.
Trust me when I say this : if Reach never had Invasion or Elite Slayer, Elites would high chance not be playable in Reach.

There was also elite slayer as well and really it would’ve allowed more unique combinations in my opinion still tho it’s better have the playable elites with limited customization options than no playable elites at all
But really I honestly see what you mean for reach elites based on how limited they’re options were

I saw a video whenever they mentioned Reach Elite customization that there is a setting in the code for the game that has it turned off for them. Either the coding was never finished and 343 could probably finish it up with the help of modders or Bungie just said no to the idea.
I feel like Reach and H2A need some new Elite armor. There is a lot of cool armor from books and concept art that you never see in the games. If they added that in for Reach I wouldn’t mind if we didn’t get full customization. It’d be something better than nothing. Especially since all of the armor that’s been added is for Spartans.

Yeah I gottta agree with ya on that one there there’s a lot of concept art that can be incorporated into armors then there’s even ancient kaidon armors too they could make for the H2A elites

I wish I could remember the video. It might have been Gamecheat13 that made the video or someone else.
I’d like to see Honor Guard armor in multiplayer or ancient Sangheili armor before the Covenant.

Ancient sangheili armor I think would fit More as that allows 343 to really craft some crazy stuff for the elites like the armor they did for the Spartans they can do it and they’re really great at it just don’t know why we don’t see more of it they do a great job on making elite armors

Well, since we are here, I am going to comment on some things that I would like to see for the elites…
-more armor like: Honor Guard, Councilor, Ranger (Halo 2), Heretic, Silent Shadow, Armor of Let’voir (Halo Wars 2), Executioner (Halo Wars 2), Warrior, Minor, Scout, General, and Zealot (Halo 4 and Halo 5 ) and missing armor from halo online.
-Elite customization options piece by piece, change color of lights and technosuit/skin.
-skins for covenant weapons because there are some weapons that only have 1 or 2 skins only.
ps: I know that many things I said (especially about armor) will never be put but it’s worth dreaming :'c
Tech suit is actually a brilliant idea as there’s few differences from halo 4 and 5 elite tech suites that they could use hell even add the option for sleeves or even sleeveless would be cool
I remember them mentioning updating Reach Elite customization like 2 years ago right before giving elites back their ability to wear armor effects, because people complained that they were able to in the 360 version.
But I remember they weren’t very specific about the change at all.
I figured that’s all they were referring to but I knew others would misinterpret it.
That being said I really would appreciate if it was made possible.
Also would like the Halo 2 campaign armor to be playable as well as others have said, I also think it’d be cool if Halo 3’s original armor pieces were retextured and backported to Halo 2 as variants (as well as the Spartans), and the forgotten spade shaped helmet minors and majors sometimes wore in CE
And the rest of Halo Online’s armor sets really meet to be brought to 3, and fix their faces from not moving.

August 2020 development update for mcc when season 3 was near, says in the article “Halo: Reach will feature new ways to mix and match armors as well as giving the Elites some customization options previously only available to Spartans.”
At that point the elites didn’t have armor effects which they did on the 360, so 343 gave them back on that season, and only that.
Perhaps they can update piece by piece armor for elites on reach, originally H2A didn’t have that, and Halo 3? They updated the models to accommodate H:O armors (arms and leg specifically)
Just have to wait, supposedly this year mcc was gonna be content complete but we haven’t got anything apart from flood firefight, that was supposed to come out with season 8 but it didn’t work, along post-match poses, which they hinted MORE THAN A MONTH AGO finally coming out with new H2A amor.

Part of me isn’t holding my breath on the chance they’ll add the feature. I’d prefer the modding tools for reach be released instead. Outside of that there’s been leaks of more elite armor coming in the pipeline with the end of year stuff. So, who knows ya might get your wish for more armors and customziation for Reach idfk

Less leaks more so just hearsay and conjecture from dataminers I know that love MCC.
