Wheres the fun ?

Just played my first game of the day at 10am. 100-63 for the other team with me sitting at a 0-7. Hardly balanced at all, and never an opportunity for a fair firefight. Within the first 30-40 seconds the score was already 10-0 for the other team. WHAT ! The TTK is so low that the other player just so much looks at you and you’re dead. I’ve never claimed to be a good player. But I don’t appreciate being spawned into a game just to be a bullet sponge. This was prevalent yesterday as well in both arena and BTB. I dunno hopefully some balancing changes can come pretty quick. Thanks so much.

Seemed perfectly balanced and fun for myself and everyone i spoke to yesterday. Everyone has bad matches and it can be frustrating, nothing you can do about that. The TTK is perfectly fine for a Halo game in my opinion. I hope you don’t mind me giving some tips?

If you’re having trouble with gunplay, I recommend hitting the Training Mode and using weapons you need practice with and just fine tune your accuracy and skill with each weapon. It really helped me figure out the proper way to use the Commando and Sidekick.

Also, if you find yourself in a situation when walking around the map where you’re alone and about to engage multiple enemies, I’d suggest pinging them and running. Most engagements in Halo, when you and one other player fight, whoever wins will most of the time not have shields left, it’s always a close fight. When it’s 2v1? You’ll die in .5 seconds. Try not to engage multiple enemies at once!

Most engagements in Halo are equal parts strategy and gun skill. Great gun skill will get you some kills, but lack of strategy will get you killed and vice versa.

Or my man, just try not to take it super serious! Just enjoy the gameplay and the map and sit back and relax. there’s nothing to lose and nothing on the line in the long run

Try some Splitgate out, it’s pretty fun.

Trust me brother i’ve been there tons of times. There’s nothing fun about getting waffle-stomped for sure! I’m sorry your matches have been so bad man, hopefully today you have some good ones and make some good memories

I completely understand you. Hopefully Customs (eventually) arrives and makes things a bit more fun vibes.

Also people shouldn’t resort to saying ‘get good’ when someone isn’t enjoying a game. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and I happen to agree with you.

It amazes me how Splitgate made a better Halo than Halo. Halo Infinite is the most boring Halo I’ve played to date. If Splitgate removed gates I would probably be maining that game right now. How is it possible for each iteration of Halo to be worse than the previous? I honestly think it’s time for a new studio to pick up the Halo license. 343 just can’t seem to figure it out.

Had a game of strongholds and “waffle-stomped” (lol, first time hearing that) the other team 200-1. I can’t imagine being on the other team. I find those types of wins equally frustrating. Strongholds though can be weird in that once a team gets a good flow going and a points lead, its really hard to come back from. Lots of players still learning the maps and the objectives. Took a few games of Total Control for me and a few players I was chatting with to figure out the difference between Total Control and Strongholds. haha. We thought that strongholds had just been renamed Total Control and we couldn’t figure out why we weren’t scoring. haha. That’s a fun game mode and I like how they switch up the zones between rounds. Definitely lots of good and it’s just the beta, I totally get that and this is a learning period for both players and the developers. Must be really tough to find a balance between all the skill levels of players.

Well time for breakfast. See y’all back at 5 bells for more. Deaths Shadow74 let me know if you wanna connect later for a game. See if there’s something I’m missing that I can improve on.
