Well 343 could have made it easier for everyone if, you know, announced the actual day the update would drop. Just saying.

I imagine the update is ready to be rolled out, but Microsoft have given them a vague date on when it’ll pass cert, since I’m assuming it’ll be a huge update. Again, this is my brain talking, not 343i’s, so don’t take what I say as the truth, it just seems like the most logical answer.
They never said a date because they will release it as soon as it’s finished with certification testing. Other companies will get their DLC/updates certified by Xbox, then they will set a date and wait till then. They are literally releasing it as soon as they possibly can, be patient!
