I was reading the other day MS bought Gears of War. Now Universal is making a movie like Warcraft did. I guess Halo has really taken the back seat. I was under the impression Halo was MS flagship game. It kind of sounds like Halo days are numbered.
No one has money to make one like 343 will ever fund them with all the money they’re getting from microtransactions.
Plus, I don’t think this is the right forum to post about movies.
It’s a television show, and it’s in early pre-production.

So there’s no need to be overly dramatic.

I’ll be the judge of that lol
Halo is not based off a true comic book taken from a play written from a monks private diary while he was in a sanitarium.
They are waiting for The Rock to get desperate for $$$

343 worked hard for that…
after playing Gears 4, it really pains me to see how far Halo has fallen…
TC managed to capture the spirit and feel of original Gears and created an amazing sequal! I actually started playing the campaign again less then 24 hrs after completing the game for the first time! To this date, I didn’t even complete Reach, H4 or H5 for a seccond time…
Halos time to come up with a movie was sometime between H3 and Reach…
Movies based on video games tend to suck anyway why would you want it associated with the franchise?

Uwe Boll, anyone?

That’s interesting… The article I read didn’t go into details, but with Universal doing it I figured it would be a full movie for the theaters.
They are making a new Power Rangers movie isn’t that enough?
But I would imagine to make a AAA movie worthy of Halo would require an enormous budget.
District 9. Remember that bizarre sci-fi flick from circa 2009? Yeah it was originally the Halo movie in early production. A problem occurred (somewhere with licensing and I think prop direction) so they scrapped it and made their own movie. Some of the original props were still used but just modified a bit, so if you notice they kind of resemble some Halo weapons.

I’m glad someone else knew this
i was about to post this little known factoid as well
- Dude; Halo needs a film that tell your story a bit because with film halo 4 Forward Unto Dawn is not enough for the saga.
