Ok So, I got the legendary edition opening night and I had red flames until my xbox died the following year around Christmas. I got a new xbox and now I have no red flames. I have the old hard drive and was wondering if I transfered the memory from that one to my current one will give it back to me. An feedback about my idea or others would be great. Thanks!
Transfer them to your new hard drive & then do a License Transfer (Info Here) so you will be able to use them on all accounts you own.
I had the same thing happen to me.
What I did was go to my purchase history at xbox.com, and redownload it.
Fastest way I know how to get it back. Don’t forget to get your Recon helmet too.

There shouldn’t be a problem if you are using the same account as you did when you bought the game.
