Why do we not have a light anymore? There are a few spots where it would be nice in the campaign for sure.
Agreed. I don’t see why they didn’t just map it to down on the d-pad for campaign and Spartan Ops, it would have worked fine given that you only have to select ordinance in War Games. (which occasionally causes a controller mapping problem when you earn your ordinance right in the middle of a firefight and try to switch grenade types; “QUICK SWITCH BACK TO FRAGS accidentally calls in a needler instead of a beam rifle and gets killed NOOOO”)

I have never thought of this! It hasn’t happened to me yet, but when it does, I’ll fume!
There’s no good reason at all for the flashlight to be gone; god knows there were some parts in the campaign that were gloomy enough. Just another example of 343 taking a 10-year old formula and messing with it for change’s sake.
