Where's all the racetracks?

Reach was full of tracks, 4 had quite a few good ones. I’ve only seen a couple of tracks in H2A. we have an improved forge, why not. within 4 months of reach’s release, there were so many videos for top ten of the week or top track. I’ve tried making a few, but I’m not very good at it.

Generally, it’s just harder to forge maps in the MCC due to the current limitations of custom games. It’s very hard to play test maps, and actually, I currently have a dozen maps that I just can’t test properly because they’re above 400 objects… Which incidentally causes the game to crash, for some odd reason. However, I doubt it’d be even that for race tracks, it’s likely more the fact that it’s very hard to get maps seen in the MCC thanks to the limited file sharing capabilities. With no ability to search for maps on Halowaypoint, and no file browser built into the game in its current build, I doubt we’ll be seeing any large revelation of maps for some time, unfortunately.

I really hope they fix the problem with the amount of objects you can have without it crashing. Almost all my maps use the 650 limit (not all are actual forge pieces, but still most are). What’s the point of giving us a 650 limit if the game crashes after about 400 objects!?

This needs to be addressed as soon as they fix matchmaking. Forge is a HUGE part of the community and there is no reason why it shouldn’t work properly.

Indeed, I wholeheartedly agree. I cannot wait until the game works as intended, it’ll be good fun when it does. I’ve got a number of maps that’ve reached that 650 object limit, and I’m LOVING the amount detail that I can finally put into the maps that I’ve been working on, but what’s the use when no one can experience the maps the way I meant for them to be played? I’ve got a couple of BTB maps that I can’t play test, a dozen zombie maps that I can only test with a handful of people, and new mini-gametypes that I’ve created that are just unplayable with all the crashing. You go one round, and boom, next thing you know you’re on the home screen, or you’re loading the main menu with a dozen other people.

Awesome links to awesome people. Totally would recommend following those guys.

Add ‘Superior Forger’. He has a good race map on his share and has been working on others.

I’ve been Co-Forging with SomethinLogic14 a lot these last few months and together we have finished 7 racetracks. All my tracks are on my fileshare with a screenshot of each so you can see which one peaks your interest. I also do a preview series of community created racetracks on my youtube channel: ForgeHaloRacetracks. So if your looking for racetracks or racetrack forgers, be sure to check it out.

For sure.

People spend a crazy amount of time on these
