First off let me say it’s awesome Halo finally got a T rating it has deserved for so long and the game is now more accessible to a wider audience.
Having said that I’m not sure how I feel about the fact there has been less and less blood every single game since the first. I remember in the first game, after fighting the hunters under the truth and reconciliation and in the cutscene when you get pulled up the lift seeing all the flourescent orange hunter blood and bright blue grunt blood. All the blood on the platform just went to show how long and hard fought that battle was for me and it really made an impact. Now you can mow down an entire group of grunts with a turret and wont leave any blood stain on the snow below them. That just feels so unrealistic, it’s like you are shooting giant moving rubber mannequins rather than a living thing.
I’m sorry to rant about such a small feature, and I dont care about blood in multiplayer, but I really miss seeing alien blood in the campaign.
