Thanks. Again I just want to clarify there was nothing wrong with your site I just wanted to go and check all my options out before I get fully committed to one though. So far though yours seems to be the most polished.

I will suggest making another thread.
My spartan will be homeless, joined discord and got warning for nothing on 1st post, so if no waypoint forum then I’ll just have to be out of conversations, sad but true. These forums have been my go to place for many years, if I could I’d set up a new unofficial forum, but don’t have the time to moderate anything, plus my adhd brain will get bored after a day or 2 lol

The only worthwhile thing on reddit related to Halo, is the r/halostory. A lot of good insight, and direction on where to read books and get recommendations. But it’s no different than what you can find here already.
To the GTAForums. There isn’t much Halo talk over there, but 343 did plenty to help me kick my Halo habit, so it worked out in the end.

B.net - I hear rumours of a marathon remake… I want to be around there if they transpire.
Its an extraction live service shooter.
Marathon name slapped on for recognition.
A shame really.
A true creative choice for that genre in bungies ip backlog would easily be PIT/pathways.
And that would allow them to use anything they choose from marathon’s lore and give it a far more distinctive art and setting style than a third consecutive straight scifi shooter.
I hope that it satisfying for most, you included. But im hesitant to be excited

Once it does go read-only it’ll be sad to lose this resource for Halo. I wonder when exactly they’ll do it?

I think it will be interesting to see what platform they release it on. I imagine it will be multi platform but we’ll have to see.
For me I wouldn’t mind what kind of game it was as long as they stay true to the lore.
But unfortunately whatever it turns out to be, I’m sure we’ll be plagued with seasons and shop items!
Path ways into darkness just seems like a perfect fit for that style of game and lore wise infinity kinda makes anything possible so staying true is not so easy to define haha.
But ya i wonder is it sonys next big fps or is it multiplatform?
Bungie could literally roll all their games into one Universe.
However though I think if Sony had their way they could quite easily desecrate the Halo population with a marathon PvP shooter!
But I think Bungie will keep the marathon IP close to its chest.
If it was a PlayStation exclusive - I’d get a PS5.

Id have to wait and see. Most the people that made marathon great are gone from bungie after all.
Still think pathways is a better pick to revisit.
As for pvp cant say i trust post D2 bungie with making something to rival there past games tbh.
I tried playing through the old games again last year. I got the three marathons and pathways working on my Mac - they made feel motion sickness.
I wouldn’t mind marathon to be a reskinned halo… that would stirr up a few court cases.

I play aleph1 all the time and played the mac versions regularly prior.
Marathon has lots in commkn with halo for sure. Better writing though. Durandal and tycho being voiced would sort or ruin them imo.
Id love to see a good marathon revival but theres little halo or marathon designers left at bungie to make it sadly.
It wouldn’t be the same would it… but it could be so much better.
You’d have to get Jason Jones to write it!
