We don’t know what happened to him and that includes whether or not he was knocked unconscious. For all we know a squad of ODSTs or Spartan-IVs could show up and have a big shoot out with the Prometheans, allowing the Chief to escape. We probably won’t know until the game comes out.

Twist: They don’t take him anywhere. He dies right there on the spot and the credits roll. The next 2 games are about the ghost of Yap Yap.
I think that whole ending was just put there for the demo to close out and look good. I don’t expect it to be in the final game.

A yes but remember there was a lot of internal stress at bungie with time constraints and important people deciding to quit that they had to rebuild the game. If things went smoothly like at 343, the game would have been much bigger and that level would have existed.
I’d say he’s being dragged through the jungle by some knights when they hear fighting nearby (some of the Infinity’s crew fending off attackers). When they approach the scene, MC kicks away the knighs dragging him, picks up a dead soldier’s BR, and fights.

I can almost guarentee you that a group of spartan 4’s will come and save the chief.
Well, it was E3. Things could change.
They did state that a lot of the E3 Campaign Demo was scripted. Imagine dying in front of thousands of people.
