Outside of the awesome opening cinematic she was nowhere to be found. I was led to assume that she may still be on Infinity and from the recent books in the Kilo Five trilogy I know she is basically a secret prisoner there. Still I thought for sure that she would appear somewhere on Requiem or if not there then the research facility outside of Gamma Halo in mission 7.
Without going into spoilers of the new Halo: Thursday War (for anyone that has read it I have not had time to finish it) is there any other explanation that can be given for why she did not appear in the game?
They forgot a lot of things from the books.
-Like mentioning the fact that these Elites and Grunts are a rebel faction and not “The” covenant.
-And Jul was only seen in one cut scene.
-No Kilo-Five team (010-Naomi with the ODST’s)
-Prone to drift and the other Engineers.
So yeah either 343i never read the books they order the writers to or they completely forgot about them
Mark4205, some of your comments confuse me a bit. 343i have obviously read the books, they were in charge of their creation, in a way. I do agree that they could have emphasized a bit more on the Covenant being a splinter group, but when was Jul ever seen? And Kilo-Five wasn’t ever really on the Infinity, no reason for them to show up. As for the Engineers, it would have been nice to see them, but not essential. Putting so many characters from the books into the games would end up confusing players who haven’t read the books too, so they were definitely better off not including them for now.
As for Halsey, I was expecting to see her a lot more. However, this is only the first game of the trilogy, it’s possible that she’ll show up later on, no?
I hope she appears at some point in the upcoming games. I miss Jun oh so much.

Yeah, I’ve implanted it a bit weird, but thats since I’m Dutch and explaining things is not my strong point
Jul was seen in a cut scene in:
First terminal video, you see a elite calling the ship master Jul Kilo-five
Yeah I know they are on Port Stanley but they where at least send to investigate the reason of Jul hanging around Requiem 
Would be cool to see Lasky Explain to Chief they had found Engineers
I agree on the Halsey part, sure hope so!
