Where to store Halo clips for montage editing.

I don’t have a capture card, and if I did I’d want an Elgato HD 60S. So what is a great place to store clips, in 1080p, for an editor to use? I can simply download them onto my laptop and make a file for them all. Another I think is Youtube, but I think their video compression makes clips look worse. I don’t really want to use OneDrive, and I’m told Xbox DVR.com sucks.

If you know the editor irl, you can always plug a hard drive into your Xbox and store them on that automatically after recording.
If your editor is on top of things, you can use any cloud storage website (Dropbox, Google Drive, Onedrive, etc.) to store some clips on for a transfer.

Remember that you can download clips directly from the Xbox app on Windows 10 and mobile so XboxDVR.com is not required

I find myself great with mega, offers a large storage space and the servers are very fast.

I don’t have an editor, not yet. Have talked to one such person who moderates on 343’s Discord server. There are montagers on YouTube I’d love to edit for me, but they’re always busy. Not asked them yet.
I do have an external drive, if thats what your asking. It’s used for games.
OneDrive? I barely remember someone telling me cloud storage isn’t good for clips. Resolution is crappy. Maybe not. In all honesty, I’d rather have a capture card to make files of clips and angles, then give them to an editor. I have no idea how to properly edit things like this. I have used Xbox’s app recently to upload clips, unlisted, to youtube, then show them to Discord friends and in 343s server.

It depends on the cloud service as to whether it’s bad or not. YouTube is a good solution for showing but editing is a different story as YouTube encoding hurts a lot. I personally found that storing them on an external drive is best if you don’t have any other way to record them than Xbox’s game DVR. Otherwise, you’ll probably want to look for a lossless cloud storage service.

I can use my external HDD for clips somehow, then save them to where?

I’d say that if you use an external it would store them there in full resolution but delivering them to an editor is different. If you know them irl, you can give the clips to them on that, otherwise, you’ll need to transfer it to a lossless cloud file service, or some other way like over SFTP/FTP to get it to your editor.

As I said a few posts ago, I feel very comfortable with Mega. If you have an external hdd you can save the clips and then upload them online to Mega and share them with those who could help you edit.

I can look into it.

It’s a good service
