Where to find your code, if you have one.

Go to Xbox.com

Sign in.

Go to My Account.

Go to Contact Preferences.

Look for your email address listed at the bottom of the page.

Go to that email. Find your Xbox GIFT. Click that link.

Get your code. *** See Below ***

Enter it @ Redeem Code.

Go to your dashboard and find your DOWNLOADS screen. Download the 108MB to your Xbox. Load your game and enjoy :smiley:


You can also directly enter the code into your dashboard and skip some steps.


Keep in mind this email is going to be sent out all day long. And i would suggest you guys start calling Xbox Support AFTER today. SOOOO you can start having them resend it to a current, live, updated email addresses and in the FUTURE…

I just realized. Maybe if you change that email contact they will send it to the new one on the fly. Hmm… Wish i could test it but i already got mine.

Or EVEN, change it NOW and then you can ask them to resend it. And it should go to the new one.

ya that only works if that email works. what if ur email had an error in it and now u cant access anything?

Then you wait till tomorrow and call them up for some support. They’ll fix you up.

I literally just changed mine to my correct email. I had used a false email to initially make my account. I tried calling in, to correct my email, and doing this a few months ago, but for whatever reason it still had the false email as my contact even though it showed my correct email in the dashboard/account management. I called xbox live to make sure i would still receive codes for speacializations and they said to get on a forum and ask because even though xbox live/microsoft promotes/publishes halo they have nothing to do with codes for the game. I’m new to this forum and this is my first time to post. If anyone has any info that would be helpful i would appreciate it.

My email in my dashboard is not the same email as my contact preferences. They are different. I switched my xbl sign email like 3 times cause i got locked out and couldnt even sign into these forums.

Did you try my steps to help you find it? And again, If this doesnt help you i would call xbox support tomorrow.

I am also wondering what would happen if you changed your contact email yourself @ the xbox.com website. I’d test it but i dont need to :stuck_out_tongue:

It’s corrected all the way around now, both in the dashboard and on xbl. They gave me a free 1 month and sent it to my correct contact email because i had tried calling in and having this issue corrected months ago and obviously it wasn’t. I’m wondering if I’ll receive codes to continue my specializations. I’m currently locked at 70 and xbl could not answer my question about the codes.

I say that if they sent you that one month and you got it, then i figure your code will also go to that email. Now it is just a waiting game. And of course. Scream at them till they fix it. But you gotta wait till tomorrow :stuck_out_tongue:

I agree and don’t want to ‘jump the gun’ just curious and want to make sure I’m covered.
