I pre-ordered Halo: Combat Evolved (Anniversary) at Best Buy. On the pre-order receipt, it doesn’t give me the code. How do I get the code?
Email? I’m not sure, I also pre-ordered from Best Buy. My guess is that they’ll give it to you when you pick up the game.
Well they aren’t gana just give it to you for just pre-ording it, you get it when you buy/pick it up.

Two things
a. if they just gave out the bonuses when you place pre orders people would just place the orders and then run off to different stores with different pre-order bonus and buy the game there. (not halo specifically since the bonus is the same in all stores but in general)
b. It has been stated earlier that your pre order codes will be packaged in with your copy of the game kind of like the Halo Reach Legendary codes

i have been wondering the same, but now that i have an answer. i have a question myself… anyone know how much it is to pre order it?
The codes will be included INSIDE the package, like the exclusive Recon code did for Reach.
Also, it is not necessary to pre-order CEA to get the Grunt Funeral Skull and John-117 avatar skin. You simply just have to purchase the first printing/edition of the game (much like Reach).
They mislead you to believe you HAVE to pre-order it.

First Editions sell out really quickly, it’s highly advised that you do preorder or buy on release date to avoid missing the extra features with this one.
When I pre-ordered at GameStop I was told it would be printed on my receipt at pick up. But they have changed their story on how you will get your pre-order bonus content.
They now indicate on their site that pre-order bonuses will be packed in your box. That seems odd.
To be safe I will open my box while in the store to ensure it’s there (if you leave the store and come back you’re probably up the creek) so I can ask for printed codes if needed.
When Reach came out my Legendary content codes were in the box, as all Legendary editions got it, but my pre-order bonus codes were printed on my receipt.
Be safe, check your box while still in the store.
