Why are there no games where you start with a Battle rifle or a Dmr it’s always assault rifles and pistols

If you really want to start with a BR I would suggest you play either BTB ( you always start with a Battle rifle in there ) or Swat.
I miss br starts too. There’s a lot of things I miss from the old halos… like a veto system.
I thought about BTB but is not ranked and then everyone just gets in vehicles and what not but I think they should put the veto back in honestly the game a cool but it doesn’t even feel like halo anymore even like the motion sensors now you can only see people when shooting like cod like halo used to be about skill now it’s about who can camp power weapons and invis the most
They took out BR starts to make the game more balanced on the smaller Arena maps. This makes the BRs and DMRs that can be picked up on the maps very powerful as they are a lot more accurate at long range compared to the Magnum. Overall I think it has been successful in making the Arena part of the game more balanced. However I do miss starting with a BR or DMR even though some believe the Magnum is just as powerful, which depending how you look at it it is.
They removed BR starts because they were popular in older Halo games and obviously 343 want to be seen as their own company and they are actively trying to move away from the universe Bungie created. See the phasing out of Master Chief for the new social justice spartan team Locke and his friends (minus Buck he is cool)

In response to OP: 343 have always been allergic to BR starts, after all Dan Ayoub killed the BR in ODST when he was still at Bungie.
Nah I get you on that and I completely agree that it balances it out I more mean they should add like a mlg slayer or team hardcore what ever it was called where it’s BR start no sensor it’s ranked and for serious players .
