Seeing as how Nintendo has the great Super Smash Bros. and All-stars Battle royal is coming to the Playstation, can we expect a beat em up, 2 dimensional, off screen eliminating game featuring some of xbox’s greatest characters?
Would you like/ dislike/ not care for this if it were to come about?

I thought that too… then came Kinect, and a swarm of 8 year old games and work out/dance games. I never hated the idea, but I didn’t like it either. Same goes for the OT, I wouldn’t Hate it, nor would I love it.
I just figured, seeing as how modern companies compete now a days, it seems very possible.

Lol at PSMove, at least Kinect was a bit different, hands-free.

True. You must admit however there could be potential satisfaction that could only come from Master Chief punching Marcus fenix, commander shepard or Duke Nukem in the face.
I love SSB and I own a PS3 and I’m interested in PS AllStars, but a Xbox game like that?
Who the hell would they put in it? You might as well call it “Halo vs Gears + some Fable” cause Microsoft’s exclusive list compaired to Nintendo’s and Sony’s is quite thin.

Yes, but isn’t there going to be cross platform games in Ps allstars? Like Big Daddy? I mean, it could also feature xbox live arcade characters, as well as games from the original xbox. There are more xbox exclusives than you know, not to mention potential cross platformers that could be included

I see what your saying with XBLA characters but your not going to drawn in the masses for a game like that with characters that few know about. And yes SSB and PS Allstars has characters from other non-exclusive games but the majority of them are not and a Xbox game of a similar nature would be highly dependent on filling the roster with non -Yoink!- characters.

Yes, but that will allow for players to become interested in characters they may not be familiar with, and those who do know the characters will most likely be happy to see them back. The roster could go from characters we all would expect (master chief, marcus, etc.) but could also include characters like your own xbox Avatar, a mine craft character, Eric Cartman (for recent and upcoming south park arcade games) Splosion man, bomberman, castle crashers and Ryu Hayabusa. And then characters you might not know who were in the original xbox like Conker, voodoo vince and Blinx.
There could potentially be a lot of great non -Yoink!- characters, but then again, there would be a lot of xbox exclusives as well.

Pretty much everyone you listed isn’t associated with -Yoink!- and that’s my point, it would end up being a game that highlights everyone but -Yoink!- characters. And dude this isn’t on you because its a totally valid suggestion, but I lol’d soooooooo hard when I read Blinx.

Most of what I listed was either published by -Yoink!- (and so is exclusive), or are/were exclusive to the console regardless of publisher/developer (mainly regarding the first NG). I myself have never played Blinx, I just knew it was only on the xbox so I am not sure why it is funny.

Cartman was around long before xbox so was bomberman. Castle Crashers isn’t excusive neither is Ryu, Conker was made famous on N64 and his xbox outing is worth forgetting plus A LOT of people are sore over the -Yoink!-/Rare thing, ect. And I Lol’d at Blinx because I forgot about him and he was kind of lame.

Tons of South park and bomberman games on xbox. The original Ninja Gaiden was exclusive to xbox. You have me on castle crashers, but conker still made a debut on xbox.

There are tons of SP and Bomberman games on Nintendo/Sony systems too.
If your telling me I can only play the original NG on Xbox your wrong.
I guess with Conker but like I said its a sore subject.
Bottom line I don’t think a SSB-like game would work on Xbox.

Not even close. The Move is a direct Wii ripoff, but since it uses motion tracking instead of the system Wii uses (infrared tracking), it’s far more limited. Kinect, on the other hand, is a completely different system with a lot more potential than the other two. Microsoft put real R&D into it.
Anyway, more on topic: I’m with Killrraider13. I saw PS All Stars, and i just shook my head. It’s a direct rip of Smash Bros. with no innovative edge. I wouldn’t mind an “Xbox All Stars” game, but I would hope that Microsoft commissions a studio that can take the 2D beat’em-up and give it something unique in relation to Smash Bros.
