Where is the Quality Control?

Halo 5 is littered with bug and glitches. It has come to the point where sometimes it makes the game UNPLAYABLE. I will go on to list these issues and reply below the ones i miss. Halo also still doesnt have much content at all. Where are the gametypes and gamemodes?

Bugs and Glitches:

  1. Theater is COMPLETELY broken
  2. Takes 3-5 minutes for REQ system to load in (PLZ DONT HAVE REQS in halo 6 343)
  3. Weopon skins blocked by gun.
  4. Warzone Firefight weird enemy despawn.
  5. Overlapping Menus
  6. Daily Login packs not being given.
    and more…

General Issues

  1. still missing 14 gamemodes (we dont even have a single assymetric gamemode)
  2. Custom games options (least since halo 3 but halo 5 forge is great)
  3. Warzone Firefight might be the most unproffesional mode i have ever seen. (i currently have played over 40 matches and i can safely say i got music in 5-10 of those matches)
    and more…

Thanks for reading this. Leave your issues below.
343: your a company under microsoft, take more pride in your games.

Beware incoming Rant: At this point im having to FORCE myself to play halo 5. And even when i do play halo 5 and it works, im not enjoying it. I’m playing because i feel compelled to play it. I play it because its halo… except its not halo. I have put in more hours on the MCC than halo 5 over the last month because honestly the original halos are more enjoyable. The gameplay of halo 5 has neglected the veterans as well as the new fans. Halo needs to become halo again. These movement mechanics are found in EVERY other shooter. Now halo has become just another generic shooter. 343/Microsoft needs to realize this. Halo will never grow if it doesn’t separate itself.

Okay, so if every new game offers new modes, of course, and every game includes every mode from every previous game, how big are these games going to get? Is Territories, Strongholds, King of the Hill, and Extraction all really necessary in the same title or are we getting a little redundant? I get having Regicide and Juggernaut. But every single mode? Come on.

And yes, fix the bugs please.

This is silly.

Speak for yourself.

Each game plays differently. Let Halo 5 play like Halo 5. That’s why I’ve stayed with this particular franchise this whole time. Franchises that basically stick to the same damn thing every title annoy me and I get bored and leave. With Halo, there’s actually a reason to go back and play the old games. There’s variety. I’m playing Reach right now. I was playing Halo 2 earlier. I broke the map and took a cool screenshot, look. Change isn’t always good, there have been some bad ideas along the way (from both 343 and Bungie), but that’s how you learn and grow. If you don’t, and just keep repeating the same thing that works … it just gets lazy and boring. Like when someone tells a joke that gets a big laugh so you hear them tell it 20 more times that day. You gotta up your game. (that’s probably a bad analogy, but I think you get my point. either way, that’s just my subjective 2 cents. And this is coming from someone who’s favorite Halo game is a Bungie game and second favorite is a 343 game, so I like them all; I don’t have anything against classic or modern. If Halo 6 was 100% classic, I’d be 100% okay with that.)

Aside from movement (which I rather enjoy), what I like about Halo 5 (Arena is what I play most) is that they went back to more classic rules. Gone are the loadouts, perks, ordinance drops, killcams, flinch, armor abilities (not spartan abilities that everyone shares, I’m talking things like Armor Lock and Active Camo in your loadout). Now we have equal starts and power ups and weapons on maps and descope … Halo 5, in terms of Arena gameplay, is the most like Halo 3 that we’ve had since Halo 3. It just has modern movement mechanics.

You mentioned you like Custom games, if you go into my fileshare, I have gamemodes made where I tuned as closely as possible to CE, H2, & H3. You should check them out on some classic remake maps. CE is the best match. I even went into the MCC and timed the walk speed against a map a friend of mine was building to scale in Halo 5 Forge and matched it spot on. Melee strength, grenade strength, jump height (even worked on the “floaty” feel for Halo 3). They’re worth checking out. If something feels off, feel free to tweak it. I got a bunch of classic maps in there from great forgers too.

Is halo 5 your first game or something? You act like the other games suck. Halo doesnt need to have these movements features to be innovative. Also your first comment is a huge strawman argument. I never said halo 5 had to have every mode. But halo needs to have 90% of past modes. You fanboying doesnt help halo at all.

The short answer is that 343 as a whole have no attention to detail, resulting in them skipping over a lot of things that we took for granted in the past.

The weapon skin block?
And the warzone firefight enemies depawning is actually intended. The matches are supposed to be quick. But I would like it if were to kill off the rest of the enemies.

I got a good laugh at the Asian Qualifiers when their maps got QC’d

WTF? Did you even read the post? I even said “If Halo 6 was 100% classic, I’d be 100% okay with that.” And talked about how I made custom modes to match CE, H2, and H3 movement mechanics, spent the day playing Halo 2, and I said my favorite Halo was a Bungie game. I simply also enjoy the modern stuff as well. And, no, Halo 5 is not my first game. Asteroids was my first game (Halo 3 wasn’t a magical part of my stupid precious childhood, Atari & NES was, I think that’s the difference). But CE was my first and favorite Halo.

This is your thread, man, if you’re not even going to take the time to read people’s responses, what are you doing? You read two lines you didn’t agree with, then immediately start with accusations and name calling. Get outta here. Your vitriol doesn’t help this community at all.
