Sorry if this is been beaten to death but I’m a bit on the slow side and something just hit me… I never see the bubble shield armour ability in matchmaking games, only firefight, if that. My memory isn’t that great but if I recall correctly, it used to be in matchmaking, what happened to it, exactly?
It’s one of those things that didn’t get used much. You can use it in Invasion (on the Elite team). But as far as I know, there isn’t any other playlist that has it though. Doesn’t really fit in others playlists though really.
Yeah I haven’t seen it outside of invasion either.

They removed it because it got abusively used. In objectives when 4-8 enemy players spam that crap on the objective results in realy bad gameplay same for slayer game types.
Drop shield would be great if it was a pickup, as opposed to an off-the-spawn ability. Less spam.
