There better be a Magnum in the game because the MK50 -Yoink!- pistol ain’t fitting for a Spartan. 10mm is nothing to sneeze at and is a pretty dope cartridge I like to shoot IRL but it doesn’t hold a candle to what is essentially a Space Desert Eagle chambered in a .50 caliber exploding cartridge. Buff the MK50. It should be a 4 shot kill.

Has it been confirmed anywhere? We know the technical preview doesn’t have all the weapons.

Hopefully it is an option. You could string together multiple kills on one clip. Good luck doing that using the sidekick.

In my opinion the last thing this game needs is a perfect replica of the CE Magnum, that thing was so ridiculously OP that no other guns other than the Sniper Rifle, Rocket Launcher, and Shotgun even had a purpose in MP. I would find it cool if instead of the DMR we got the magnum was a slow to fire precision weapon that’s sort of a slow to fire, hard hitting, long range capable version of the Sidekick.
I don’t mind not having the magnum anymore, I find the new pisolet really beautiful and simple. after that I think the old magnum will still be available in the final game.
Guys the magnum won’t be in at launch but there’s nothing wrong with the sidekick its a fantastic Pistol John wick style the only thing missing is the angle in which it is held.
The magnum while iconic has been useless as -Yoink- since 1. 2/3 was a joke and reach/4/non warzone 5 was abit better but still tone down
What was the TTK with the new BR, or sidekick? The CE magnum was .6 seconds, and I feel like 4 perfect BR pulls took a little longer. The sidekick may fire faster, but the clip size is a disadvantage. It did seem to load fast.
4 shot kill magnum? Then theres no point of any other weapon if the starting pistol is so OP. That was the problem of Halo 5, everyone weapon was so irrelevant because iot wasn’t a pistol.

They could bring it back as a 2nd tier weapon (Like the heatwave or shotty) or even a power weapon.

Yeah, it seems like this is what they plan on. But for right now it is not confirmed whether the magnum is gone.

I’m right there with you. Tired of ending up with less and less interesting, less Halo feeling weapons with each game, all in the name of balancing MP. The guns in the game are supposed to feel good.
