Where is the Honor guard wraith?

About 45% of the reason I want halo wars limited edition is because of the elite honor wraith, but I’ve never actually seen it in actual gameplay. What’s with that? Does it work? If so, why hasn’t anyone proved it? Please, someone give me a link proving the honor guard wraith works in-game, please I want know desperately!

It’s a skin and a skin only.
It doesn’t do anything differently than a normal wraith. Just like the Flaming Hog skin, it doesn’t do anything else than have flames painted on it.

But I’ve never seen it in-game. Where’s the proof?

If you go look at my stats/profile on the Halo Wars website, I have it and it shows it there. However for some reason their website has two instances of my Gamertag. The correct one is usually the top one. GT: Elite386

EDIT: Additionally, I believe that no one uses it because Wraiths really don’t fit well fighting against nearly any army. Which is unfortunate because I really like the skin, yet I never use it due to the point that Wraiths are just impracticable mid-late game. At least in my experience.

Assuming you entered the code into your account, you must go to the settings menu and toggle the “Vehicle Skins” option, to allow the Honor Guard Wraith and Flaming Warthog to appear. If you do not have that box checked the skins will not appear.

Wraiths are actually really good against the Flamer-Hog combo that Anders abuses ridiculously in 1v1. Hogs and Flamers are absolutely useless against Wraiths until the Hogs get gauss, which if you’re a good player you’ll be able to delay.

So I think I had found your profile, but I can’t seem to find where it showcases your Honor Guard Wraith. Can you be a little more specific of how to find it? I don’t go on the Halo Wars site very often…

I have the Honor Gaurd Wraith, but I never play as Covenant…

If you have the code entered and the skin downloaded, it will show up in your skulls list as THIS and can be toggled on or off from the options menu.

it may be difficult to see as i believe its only a decal of darker purple on the wraith unlike the flame hog which pops a bit more but you can confirm if the code has been inputed my looking at your skull list as the guy above mentioned

You can actually get both skins for free but only available in some regions unfortunately not in Australia :frowning:

How and where?

Learn something new everyday

I have the Honor Guard Wraith, and it is sooo freaking -Yoink!-!

But it is just a skin that goes on your Wraiths. It literally does nothing else except make your Wraiths look -Yoink!- af. You get it as a code when you get the Limited Edition of HW1.

Such a shame the Wraith freaking sucks in HW1 though

I never got the pre-owned HW1. Not sure.

If I buy the halo wars limited edition now will the codes that came with it still work or be expired?

I bought it and I thought the codes expired, but I found out you don’t have to turn on the honor guard wraith skull, it just activates automatically for the wraiths from your base in skirmish. At least that’s how it worked when I downloaded it on Xbox one.
