Okay if there are no BRUTES in HALO 4 where is the GRAVITY HAMMER coming from because last time I checked only BRUTEs used the GRAVITY HAMMER so where are the BRUTES and yes I know the ELITES hunted them down to nearly exstinction, but why is the GRAVITY HAMMER even in HALO 4 if there is no BRUTES in HALO 4.And where are the DRONES for that matter.

ELITES don’t really seem like the type to use a GRAVITY HAMMER.
It’s necessary for grifball. Also, it only appears in one level, Midnight, in what appears to be rooms where weapons had been “composed”. It’s probably in War Games because it’s still reasonable that a Spartan would encounter one some day. Stop thinking too hard about this and SMASH!

Just because the brutes are gone doesn’t mean the weapons would be lost forever…

I personally don’t care for a canonical explanation.
Brutes are not near extinction. The Gravity Hammer was brought back because it is a fan favorite and an essential part of Griffball.

If you remember on Midnight (The last mission) there was a part after you came out of a teleporter were you found a cache of a diversity of weapons mostly for study were you could pick a Gravity Hammer there. Now…how do they got them? Nobody knows.

Both the BRUTEs and the PROPHETs are on the brink of extinction, the remaining few went into hiding, well atleast the PROPHETS did the BRUTES where stupid enough to continue the war with the ELITEs as said by that ship master in THE RETURN.So their likely gone forever from the games.

If I truly was a Spartan killing my fellow Spartans in a simulation I would demand that the programmers include the hammer just for the sound it makes when you + 10 on someone’s head.
The Stalker armor is reversed engineered from the Brute Stalker… Infinity has tech reverse engineered from forerunners… maybe the UNSC liked the hammers so much, they decided to reverse engineer them and make their own(which were later used in grifball???)
