The new shield delay system in halo 5 solves nothing. Every single time someone gets the jump on the enemy, the first thing they do is hit that sprint button. I’m sorry this is another halo 5 -Yoink- thread but I’m just praying that 343 comes to their senses. Prob not though because everybody seems to love the new run away game play.
The amazing halo gameplay of turning a bad situation into a good one by ducking a corner and poping a grenade in the path of your pursuer or using the highs and lows to reverse a bad situation have been replaced by the infinite sprint crying to your teammate on the other side of the map tactic.
Sorry but it just sucks! Getting into a bad situation and reversed it by yourself with a sick grenade placement or used a ledge to jump over and behind your pursuer is what made halo so good! Now you just run to your teammate. Shield delay doesn’t stop people from running away, it stops people from perusing. Because if you Persue your shields don’t recharge either and when yall get to big brother on the other side of the map he easily kills you. Main way to get a kill is to finish off some poor guy who just had someone run away! It’s so -Yoink-.
please 343 implement something to stop this from happening. Sprint is good! In halo 4 I could pursue because they would run out of gas eventually! Infinite sprint needs to be held accountable and shield delay doesn’t work! Maybe a stun to half speed when hit or something but something that works needs to be added. Someway to slow a target down before he gets to big bro 2 miles away! Something to make people fight instead of run. As is what made halo great! Everything that made halo so fun, the BR/DMR battles, and great reversals are gone.
You have a window where you only need to put one shot in and it stops them from Sprint m, it’s not the biggest window but it’s big enoughh that it shouldn’t be missed unless he caught you reloading or timed it after he made you miss. Either way there is nothing saying he won’t just end up running into a teammate. Running away now is more delaying your death than the jail out of free card a lot of ppl claim it to be specially with that -Yoink!- pistol in the back pocket

I haven’t seen this delay? And I shoot runners all the time, when should you shoot them? And after 100 matches I’ve seen that it is a get out of jail free card. 90% of the time a runner gets to his teammate a mile away gets away Scott free. Maybe I’m just playing with people who are good at running but most of the time they live. Must be rewarding to run because they do it everytime.

When you sprint and your screen does a lil “zoom” time thing means you hit maximum velocity (lol) being shot before that happens cancels sprint. But it’s true with map awareness and good use of the radar they can make sure they don’t run iinto anyone
