After tonights trailer there is still no mention of any returning gametypes like Infection, Oddball, King of the Hill etc with Forge merely weeks away.
343 were too late with Halo 4. They released the file sharing system too late and also Forge Island way too late. The Custom Games crowd took a huge hit, why are they repeating their mistakes? The Custom Games crowd is huge and personally the main thing that keeps me coming back to each Halo game for years. It is worrying that we have heard absolutely nothing, a mainline Halo game releasing without Infection sounds like Heresy alone.
I hope they prove me wrong and perhaps they reveal more closer to the time of the update but as it stands now there is no indication we are receiving any new gamemodes, which would make Forge a shell of its former self even with its many new upgrades.
Custom Games are something that can severely affect a games longevity. Halo 3 and Reach had huge thriving communities long after each games release.
