Where is the blood?

After watching both last years showcase and this years I’ve noticed that there is zero trace of any blood decals in this game.
The only blood thats shown is a coloured mist that quickly disappears after shooting an enemy.

It seems with every Halo game we get less and less blood, I know it’s a small nitpick but I like painting the floors and walls with alien (& human) blood, it’s satisfying. Without it, I just kind of feel like I’m playing a game of Nerf.

The progression of blood in Halo seems to go like this:

Halo CE - Buckets of blood, more blood would come out of an enemy than their body could even contain.
Halo 2 - Pretty good amount of blood, a lot less than Halo CE, probably the sweet spot.
Halo 3/ODST/Reach - A bit less than Halo 2, I’d take it over none at all.
Halo 4 - Less than the previous.
Halo 5 - Better put your glasses on.
Halo Infinite - It’s Nerf or nothing.

They’re going for a T rating so blood is removed.

Most FPS games have gone away from blood. Not sure why.

There is blood for sure, just not stains of blood on the floor or walls. I’m honetly don’t mind it at all and kinda prefer it this way.

No it’s not removed, there is blood in Halo Infinite, just not as much as other Halo games from what we’ve seen so far. Also, every Halo I own is PEGI 16, all have blood except Halo 5.

I’ll miss the blood.

Bruh you can see blood splatters popping out of people when they get shot without their shield. Their is definitely blood in this game.

It doesn’t bother me so much in mp, but I wish we could get just a bit more in campaign. I’m not talking doom levels or anything like that, but I think some blood splatter in campaign really helps with the immersion factor. For me it does anyway.

It’s not something I look for but did notice the lack of it, so it’s a pretty drastic reduction. I’d assume the rating and as a F2P game trying to make it as popular as possible.

Blood or the lack of it does not help a game become as popular as possible. If they make a good game it will be popular, if they make a bad game it will not be popular.

That’s the tiny mist he was referring to. Ce, h2, and h3 had a good amount of blood. It makes no sense why you wouldn’t see it on the ground and walls.

The campaign has some rather large blood splatters, and the multiplayer too. I just don’t think it’ll be paint the environment like it did CE

If you look at it from a lore standpoint, most likely the wounds are immediately sealed by biofoam. It also can be argued that multiplayer is a simulation and blood was seen as an unecessary thing to render in the simulation. So, lore wise, no blood makes more sense than more blood.

I for sure would love the Halo1/2 amount of blood in those games… but ya it is what it is.

What about in the campaign?

The gravity hammer should turn enemies into pools of blood, the spikers should tear limbs off, the plasma weapons should burn holes into enemies, the energy sword should cut enemies in half, ETC. I want to hear my enemies scream in agony and fear. They used to do this with the flood but I wish they would’ve done it with the covenant as well. Having lots of blood and a little bit of gore would make the weapons feel like they are real rather than plastic toy guns.

It’s because they are trying to attract children. They want children to play their games because children are dumb and gullible therefor more likely to buy microtransactions.

I think Halo 2 had the best and most realistic looking blood in the series. CE definitely had the most blood, but it was also so bright and kinda cartoony looking in my opinion. Halo 2, specifically the human blood from Marines, was dark and gritty looking.

You can literally see the blood when shooting:

That blood doesn’t stay anywhere though, just vanishes into thin air. I don’t care so much about it in Multiplayer, but in Campaign I like to paint hallways with alien scum.
