It is less then 3 months until Halo 4 launches . . Will the ad’s start popping up by the end of August 343 ?
Of course there will be. There always are. It’s Microsoft, they’re going to capitalize on this game. It wouldn’t be beneficial to release those ads this far out.

It isn’t that far out from launch though =(
It is cutting it pretty close . .
most marketing/commercial campaigns are mostly on the internet nowadays, i know that the live action trailer was aired once in ireland and the uk but thats been it so far over here. I personally havnt liked how 343 have been advertising halo 4 and i havnt liked any of their trailer but theres still plenty of time for them to start airing commercials hopefully they have a new one and hopefully its focused only on the main character and feature of the game.
Who cares, it’s Halo. We already know everyone will buy it.

TV commercials are much more costly, especially at prime time. I remember not seeing H2 commercials until about 2 weeks before launch if I remember correctly. Most of their hype is built on the internet and word-of-mouth. They’ll wait 'til the last second with TV ads.
There have been TV spots (Euro 2012 England vs France comes to mind), but obviously they will increase around Autumn time. Summer really isn’t the peak time (low viewing figures) to roll out massive ad campaigns.
Give it time.
When i went to go catch Expendables 2 last week they had that making of Halo video during the early preview sections for those that came early… does that count?
I’ve seen quite a few Taco Bell ads promoting the Halo 4 console, but I’m not sure if that’s what you mean.

Ofcourse not everyone will know about Halo just like us.
My friend only knew about Halo, when he saw the first Halo 2 trailer in TV back then.

Most ad campaigns don’t start until about 4-6 weeks before a game’s launch, and that doesn’t even get into the major stuff until the last 2 weeks or so.
