Well. It’s the Team Slayer playlist. Except you start with a better weapon: the magnum.

There is absolutely Team Slayer. There are just no BR starts anymore because 343 recognized that BR starts meant that basically no one used any other weapon, and it turned the classic arena style combat into a miniature sniper-fest.

I like the pistol. I love the br. Br starts are fast, exciting, and full of movement skill and decision making. I think it’s a really important part of that perfect halo feel. I’m sure 343 has br starts on the way so I’m not super worried. I’m not sure I understand all this insanity tho about the br is a power weapon, the br is a sniper… You sound really ridiculous when u say dramatic -Yoink- like that. Why can’t ppl be reasonable on the Internet? Say something like, “I enjoy the pistol, it’s harder to use than a br but it really is powerful if you can get the hang of it.” And I agree.
If you want the BR then when you see it on the map… pick it up…

Or, you know, make a playlist for it. It’s not like the community won’t support it. AR starts are so boring and kill the enjoyment quickly. Give us BR Slayer as its own playlist.

I agree that there should def be a playlist for BRs. Espec if they are not guna rotate it into the normal slayer loadout. In the beta that was the best games for me. And its super frustrating and annoying that you cant defend yourself off of respawns when theother team has map control. U literally can do nothing but die. N its killing my k.d. ratio already
I also agree that choice is a good thing so, why not add the playlist. And just because I start with a br never meant for me that I wouldnt pick up a dmr or lightrifle or nething. I did that all the time so that makes no sense. I like that everyone starts equal. Thats classic halo. But let those of us use the br or dmr to start sometimes. Thats wat I like using. Frustrating. Im hopeful they will add or adress this tho. I got faith 343. The beta was so fun. Dont kill this game cuz I always have to use a pistol or assault

You think it’s “nuts” that people are against splintering the slayer population for what basically amounts to an irrational aesthetic preference? This makes absolutely no sense. You have no mechanical argument for BRs. It’s “boring?” What? The Magnum in this game has exactly the same perfect TTK, requires more skill to use, and you can still pick up BR/DMR/Carbine on map. So, not only does it fill the same basic niche as other weapons, it encourages weapon diversity and rewards high skill as well. The point of a utility weapon is to make everyone viable on spawn. The Magnum is the utility weapon in H5. Get over it.

No dude gamers should always have choice ur choice is u want pistols to start mines not. Im still good with the pistol. But it makes it really hard for ur team to comeback if ur down and the other team has all the brs dmrs n weapons n map control not to mention thats how I get used to the br n dmr and get in a rythim with them. Also halo four n reach were both that way so yeah its really stupid theres no br starts. A seperate playlist at least because gamers should get to play how they want n have choice. Dont b a duesh just cuz u dont agree.

And another thing halo 5 please fix your servers. Dont get why u put a 24 warzone playlist in the game wgen your 4 v 4 plylist dont even work at least in my area. Buffalo area everyones servers dont work who ive talked to. I support halo since day one. And im dissapointed in you multiplayer big time so far. My games lag non stop. Fix it. Wat are u doing to our favorite franchise? Jeeze
I just cant understand for any reason why you would take a tried and true formula from reach and four n decide noone gets dmrs or brs ne more. I like the ar. But I should b able to pick my starting weapon. Or just make another playlist, ima keep sayin it. I like the idea of everyone starting ewually so just make a seperate playlist.
Having pistol/AR starts are conducive of one team being able to entirely shut down another team. Because it is nearly impossible to come back when the other team has spawns locked down with all the maps BRs and DMRs and all you’re left with is a pistol. It also inherently lowers the skill cap, as it promotes the use of a weapon that is not precision. Casuals can have their pistol/AR starts if they want, but a truly competitive playlist really does demand BR starts.
