So last night I finished wiping down the last gibbly bits of the campaign of Halo 4 on legendary solo.
However my Mk VI armor is not available. Is there something I have to do after completing the game to unlock it?
I just finished solo yesterday, so glad I got my armor without the glitch.
You did prologue on legendary and the ending too, right?
I heard some dude replayed mission 7 on legendary and he got the armor. I wouldn’t want to continue doing the game on legendary, so someone may have a better solution for you than me.
You have to beat the game on legendary while online and get the commendations for Campaign. And you have to watch all of the ending.

That is just an abysmal way to unlock the armor. Why not tie it to achievements ala Halo 3? That is just pathetic on all levels.

Yeah, a few of my friends have had this happen to them. You have to get the commendations, even if everything else says you’ve beat it Legendary.
What commendation is this? Because I’ve been playing Legendary offline. I only plan to go online once I reach the last level just so the system recognizes my achievement online.

Not a joke, this is serious. And I am also rather pissed and wish they would’ve tied them to achievements. However, you can do it with others, it doesn’t have to be alone.
@DarkKanos- go to the commendation section and then go to the game modes, then campaign. There are commendations for beating each level on Legendary.
I just don’t understand the abundant ignorance that had to go into making this decision. A significant portion of people do not have internet connectivity. And many have sketchy internet as well. So you have pretty much given all of those people the finger.
In my case I was playing the campaign over the course of moving from Florida to Tennessee while staying in hotels and waiting for my ISP to hook the internet up.
And so because I wanted to play this game instead of waiting, I am being punished.

Man, that sucks. They should enable commendations offline.
It was there to stop people from hacking to obtain the armor, or something like that. I have internet about as bad as dial-up and I have a hard time connecting. I’m attempting to get better internet, but things have been slow and expensive.
Still, a lot of people are pissed off about this, but the reward will be satisfying. Its just that I hate the last 3 levels because they are ridiculously long and hard.
@DarkKanos- I wish, but to many things are reliant on XBL and it kinda ruins it for a lot of people.
Man, that really sucks and I just had to finish Shutdown offline today. Thank goodness i haven’t done Infinity and Reclaimer yet or else those would’ve been wasted too.

Honestly, the Legendary isn’t too hard, its just time consuming and you run out ammo fast. I’ve only done Dawn on Legendary and that was for the weekly challenge. I figure until I get better internet, I will just do the weekly challenges. Assuming they go in order.

Check which one you haven’t gotten yet. Complete that mission again.

No. The problem is not solved. I already completed the campaign. I should not have to play through it again. I only have to because 343 decided on an asinine method to unlock the armor.
Sorry, I’m confused, what should I do to get the mark VI ?
p.s I finished the campaign, watched all the ending and on game stats it says that I didn’t finish the last mission… I wasn’t on internet, but it should work also offline

It would be solved if 343 made so that if you went online with Legendary done on every levels, just repeat the Epilogue and you instantly get the helmet and commendations. Then I don’t have to repeat another 5 hours of campaign on crappy internet that disconnects a lot.
@PIX24- you have to be online when you do a level on Legendary and it has to be for all of them. It doesn’t matter what the game stats say, it matters on what the commendations say. That is what its unlocked through, no game stats or achievements sadly.

You sir, by the grace of 343, have to replay the entire campaign on Legendary while connected to Xbox live.
